Ooof. Jumping in to say im currently on an s9 that is dying and was thinking of going to the 23. Didnt even consider the notification light til seeing your post and some comments here.
There is an app (not mine) called aodnotify that only turns on the always on display under certain circumstances. Customizable kinda like different light colors were. This might help? I use it on my s9 but have no clue if its updated or compatible with newer phones.
Wow, there's a lot of cool writing going on there. Im not a comic book nerd, but gotta say I do wish they could do one comic movie with this level of depth and character development.
But I guess this is a case of the book is always better.
Im with you here. Content on lemmy isnt great... it mostly all falls under the same 5 or so themese.
But the comment section is wonderful everywhere ive been.

I wish for this so much too. Like everything in the world, once your thing is marketed and has main stream appeal, it's gone.
And we cant go back. I want to so much, but we cant. Because even good people have that nagging part of their mind that says "why am I doing this for free".
