Because it's"lawful" even if it's not ethical.
Just remembering all the other things that were legal once
Child labor. Unlimited work hours per week.
Slave ownership
Asbestos and coal mining without protection
Serfdom and paying taxes to the king
Etc etc.
Damn leftists, they ruined leftism
Jokes apart, language is an important tool to express thoughs and persuade people what is better or worse. And when so many concepts get conflated in a single word "leftist"/"leftism" /"socialism"/"communism" , it diminishes the focus of conversations around it. It confuses and distracts from the ideas worth discussing.
this is a way to confuse, divide and defeat the healthy expression of ideas, debate, and by consequence, the capability of people to organize around the ideas that resonate with then.

The remaining letters are recycled into English. Pronunciation is still based off the same 4 letters you used in French, except you don't have access to them anymore.
Lo lolololo lololo lolo lolo
Next week on effectiveness of foreign influence campaigns: muricans don't spy on me. Except when they do it's for my own good and protection. Except if it's not for my own good it's important to sell my data so they keep running. Except when they accept state agents to buy ad in bulk to influence elections
Is this what muricans meant by "good guy with a gun" all along? So why did it take a British person the balls to be good?
Earth apples

Metric system is over 200 years old or something.
