Started with an Ender5. Mostly stock, but got a cheap direct drive bracket, and put a metal throat in the heatbreak to make it an all metal hotend.

Then I got a Sainsmart coreception because I liked the frame of the ender5, but the concept of Corexy just seemed better, and looking back, it definitely is.

Then I got 3 more Creativity Elf printers, which are basically the same as the Coreception.

Then I got a Voron. I want a bigger bed. I really wanted to go with RatRig as they have a kit with 500mm. But I just didn't feel comfortable with how much smaller the community behind it was and the documentation just didn't seem as good as the Voron. This kit was from Formbot. The wiring sucked. After 1000 hours, wires literally just came apart inside the cable chains. One after another. I could print for more than a few days without another wire breaking. All in different places too. I moved all the wires out the chains, and it's been solid since.

And just this last week or 2, I got another Voron. This time from Magic Phoenix. And I am documenting the process on my blog.

I just finished it up a couple days ago. It has been awesome. The details are there in my blog post, but I'm definitely going to be buying from them again. This project(when including all the stuff I add to my printers like cameras and stuff) cost $350 less than the formbot kit. And it has a LOT of quality of life improvements over a standard Voron kit. Tap, StealthBurner and CANBUS are a few. Highly recommended.

It's sto save space. And now that it's completely built, with spool holder and all, I think I might be able to fit 3 of these vertically on a wall. Before, I was just thinking about putting one under a table and another on top of the table. But now I might be able to make a 3 tier shelf.

Check out the build log, which I still have to finish up. Tldr, the Magic Phoenix kit is awesome. If you are thinking about a Voron, they are the way to go for that price. No one comes close.

So I’m moving away from Reddit, and onto Lemmy and saw that there wasn’t a community for Catan. I have designed a few things for Catan, so I’m going to post that as I don’t have much else Catan related stuff to post. Let me know what you think.

Just under a foot for the frame itself. I already have a bunch of other printer, including a full sized voron, for the rare times I want to print big stuff.

99% of my print time(over 600km of filament printed so far) has gone to prints that are less than 90mm tall. This one can go to 120mm. If I miscalculated something here, it's still all good as a huge chunk of those prints are less than 30mm. And I've confirmed that have at least than much in z travel.

Yeah. If I made it stock I can't fit as many in a room. This one can fit under a table. And another one on top of the table.

My first Lemmy post(because I'm done with Reddit too and I want to see this one succeeds) I'm also updating my progress as I go on my blog. The kit and MP themselves have been great so far.
