Satisfactory just released with 1.0 and factorio dropped a dlc. This caters for all games new and old. It is more about the gamers who are older/mature and may or may not have much time to play. Waiting for a game is optional. So if people want to talk about COD black ops 6 they can go for it.

Speaking of which I may give it a run. Have not played a COD game for a while.

Have not played. Looks similar to a CTF based game. Which I would want to play a lot. Which is why I am now not going to play especially since you endorsed it as Crack...

Possibly. But I am not patient.

Embrace the spaghetti! It is always like that in the beginning and then when you have some resources you clean up as you expand. I have played it a fair bit and all the starting phases are a slight mess. My problem is I never space things out enough.

I don't have the time to burn on Elden Ring. Also not sure if the frustration it would bring would be good for me or anyone around me. :)

Nice collection of games. The RPG reminds me of gameboy games.

That sounds pretty chill. How accurate is it? I assume they are using real maps for the roads but how is the filling out of the environment around the roads?

Something, something, Skyrim....

Seconded. I have played a fair bit. Have not finished the last set of additions as I started to rebuild. Looking forward for the NPCs to be more dynamic which seems to be planned for the next release.

I have a friend who is starting to collect consoles. It will be fun to load up some old classics and play them. I have an old Wii we use sometimes for Mario racing.

Well I have a few hours into Satisfactory now and enjoying it. What have you all been playing?

Brought back memories of squeezing as much ram as possible for a game and a ram drive to speed things up.

So.... What do you want (self.oldgamers)

Out of this community.

I made it for the hell of it. A way for people who play games. Feel old. Do not have much time to play. May have too much time to play. Are looking for more co op or engaging games. Are looking for high quality engaging content. Are looking to recapture the excitement of waiting for the cassette tape to load. Are waiting for the game to download to then play. Are looking to scratch an itch gained in days past. Remember community and what it can mean. Want to build and think.

Thoughts?

I want to build a community that just understands each other and respects each other and wants to enjoy talking about things like it was the early internet.

Looking at above comments I may be an idealists. :)

Been busy as usual. Just started the installation of Satisfactory for a play through. Should take me until Christmas 😁

What is on other people's radar or what is currently being played?

So I made this group to:

  1. See what would happen.
  2. See how many gamers are out there that enjoy a more mature approach to talking about games.

This is meant to be a pretty chill community and welcoming to all. Basically be a good human to all other humans.

Also this allows players to potentially find each other to play as it gets harder to find time and people when you may not want to be competitive all the time.

All games welcome, electronic or analog. All people welcome.

Looking for a solution on how to determine when to close and open skylight blinds. I can just do hours of the day but would like it to be a bit more intelligent.

Anyone looked at using something like the math used for solar panels? I was thinking that when max solar power was generated in the summer that is when they are closed to keep heat out.

Ideas?
