Ahh I see. Or don't, actually lol. It's just blank for me, not showing the [obj] symbol

~~I don't see one at the end of their comment, but they have a cherry blossom at the end of their display name if that's what you meant?~~
(not what you meant!)
Sort of tangentially related to this... Today I was telling my mom about something I bought and I mentioned the brand + a general description of the item. About an hour later, she showed me a screenshot of her Facebook feed with an ad for the exact brand and item even though she didn't google it, etc. Makes me so uncomfortable. I'd feel a lot better if I knew specifically how they were getting the data so I could try to block it.
I get a little spike in the morning but it's usually over in less than an hour. Then I get hit with task paralysis for the rest of the day, spiral when I go to bed, and if I'm lucky I'll get tired enough to slip into a mildly dissociative hyperfocused state.
I also can't do creative things. I have too many ideas, they don't mesh, I get frustrated and give up. And nothing is ever just right. There's always something to nitpick, something that needs to be changed. Writing is so hard. I have the thoughts, but I struggle to put them into words. When I do find the words, they never feel right. Sometimes it takes me an hour to write an email. It all just gets really frustrating sometimes.
It is absolutely a thing. Forgetfulness, absent-mindedness, short attention span, etc. are common symptoms of ADHD. The meds generally wear off at the end of the day, so by the time the next day rolls around, you're back at baseline, which includes the forgetfulness.
ADHD can be incredibly debilitating and I think it's something that most people don't really grasp despite how well-known the disorder is.
Ah it finally rolled out to me, I love the swipe gestures! Only additional requests with swipes is to be able to customize the actions, have haptic feedback, and toggle on/off.
I'd love to be able to short swipe to upvote + long swipe to downvote. I had it set up that way on Apollo for years and it would be such a big QOL thing for me lol. (example)
Some misc things:
- highlighted text shows cut/copy/paste but not replace, look up, translate, etc. (screenshots)
- text replacement is still wonky (screenshots)
- setting for text size throughout the entire app instead of just on posts/comments (example)
- tap very top of screen to scroll to top (edit: it works on the home feed but all pages)
I appreciate all the time + hard work everybody is putting into this :)
I do this too. But every once in a while I'll move it out of the way on autopilot 🥲
i have no idea what y'all are referencing and it's making this 10x creepier
edit: a dude from fullmetal alchemist turned his daughter into a chimera, which the op bears a remarkable resemblance to
Perhaps that's why they said
Zoomers overall
Also not sure what's so inconsiderate about their comment. I feel like it's pretty widely accepted that zoomers generally don't have the same tech problem-solving skills that many gen x/y people do. No one's claiming they're dumb. It's a byproduct of growing up with tech that has been designed for simplicity and ease of use.
TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time and I made the mistake of playing Origami King.
It was a mix of disappointment, despair, resignation.... I've truly never felt so insulted by a game. They stomped on my childlike joy and wonder like a vat of grapes in Napa Valley. Sickening
Terrifying, thank you!
