I’ve got an aquarium at home, and though I have countless tiny bladder snails, Jasnah is clearly a different beast. She is my fiancés favorite creature in the tank because she’s got a lot of personality.

Her hobbies include posing for the camera, eating, climbing on top of plants, eating, parasnailing from the top of the tank, and of course eating.

And yes she is named after the character Jasnah Kholin from the Stormlight Archive book series. If I’m being honest though, she acts more like Lift lol

The pinkish red in the back is Red Amania. The smaller red here and there is Ludwigia Super Red.

And yeah lol bought it off Etsy. I don’t want them covering the entire thing because most of my plants need more light

Thank you :)

This is my first tank! What you’re seeing is a lot of research and $$$. I spent like 3 months googling, watching videos, browsing aquarium & planted tank subreddits etc. The channel that helped me the most was Green Aqua.

I would recommend lots of plants, and a good filter. Also there are small adjustments that can be made to really “elevate” a tank, like sloping low in front to high in back.

I planted it all in 1 batch to start, then slowly I’ve gotten more plants just to try here or there. Sometimes they don’t work out.

Yep weekly maintenance is a 30% water change, clean both pre filter sponges. Scrape walls occasionally and clean tubes occasionally. Every other week I am trimming something. Fertilizer is Easy Green twice a week.

Thank you :)

I used almost two full bags of Eco Complete (lava gravel wet with bacteria filled water) and a small bag of UNS Contrasoil just in the planted areas.

And yes I would make changes lol. I would have used maybe only 1 bag of eco complete - it was helpful to have the early bacteria but as you can see I filled it too high lol.

I also would have used more soil. It’s much easier to plant in compared to the eco complete.

They call it “Soul 4 Sword”

It’s a bit of a strange map, as Sontar Dov is located on the northern end of my world - the cloud with the stone tablet title is the North Pole.

I created this for running my new DnD campaign with my friends.

Sontar Dov is a mountainous land ruled by dragons and dragonlords - divided into twelve Domains ruled by Dracan, the title given to the rulers.

A lot of it is inspired by feudal Japan, which is one of the parts that really got my players excited, along with the dragons.

Now the reason for the lack of snow - a lot of the land has geothermal activity above and below the surface, but the ruling Dracans also have powerful magic. Some use this to help keep their domains warm for the people living there. So despite the northern location, Sontar Dov only has snow for maybe half the year tops. Though some areas are constantly covered.

Feel free to ask questions about the world or the map! I created the map using a real globe first, then stretched the picture in photoshop so it would look “OK” enough. From there I just painted for many, many hours in photoshop lol

Both of my groups are still in the early parts of campaigns, but they are enjoying them a lot more. We had some minor bumps and learning moments. Overall the rules are nicer, but I wish certain bits were specified better just to prevent RAW-abusing.

Mainly the polymorph / wild shape temp HP issue. RAI obviously if you lose the form you lose the temp HP. But unfortunately this isn’t clearly spelled out in the wildshape section. Led to the only real “argument” we’ve had about the new rules

60 liters, so about 16 gallons. And thank you :)

Though I guess it technically holds less because I filled up the substrate a little too high lol

What a good twist, especially if the guards had no clue lol

A beautiful bichir!

I’ve had it going for about 8 months now. Originally it was going to be only CRS, but unfortunately my KH was repeatedly on the rise. After testing my rocks, my water, etc I came to the conclusion that it’s due to the pea gravel I used in filter bags to prop up the rocks.

So though the CRS population has dwindled, there is still life. I got some RCS instead, which seem to be doing well, as well as 3 Amanos and 12 Pygmy Cory catfish.

Just wanted to share my aquascape :) I am happy to answer questions - I did a good amount of research but keep in mind this is my first tank.

Edit: please ignore the ugly fresh trim on the Rotala, and the horrible background!

That’s so cruel lol love it

I set up my tank back in July 2024. A month later I brought home some beautiful CRS (Crystal Red Shrimp). They’ve been a joy to watch, but unfortunately their population is dwindling due to an unforeseen source of rising KH: pebbles used to prop up hardscape appear to be leaking minerals into the water.

Just wanting to post their beauty so it can be appreciated
