There was a time when there were a bunch of Android podcasts. But I think as Google has made Android more "boring" the interest for these has faded.

I think that's fine and it aligns with the subreddit too.
But whatever the icon is, we definitely need one - this community sticks out like a sore thumb by not having one.
No. Even if they find where it is, they have to figure out a way to a) get to it and b) bring it to the surface.
The only subs that can go down there are automated rovers, which are not designed for lifting objects. They don't have the ability to bring the sub to the surface, and I guess the best hope would be that they could free the sub if it was entangled in something.
But considering they haven't even found the sub yet, it would be at least 12 hours before they could devise a rescue plan if they even found it.
The one thing I think Android needs to improve upon is how it displays notifications. Outside of enthusiasts that actively clear their notifications, every Android user I've seen has like 30 notifications in their tray.
I think those icons should "disappear" after an hour or two and just be hidden behind one icon (like the Dot icon you see now for notification overflow), so you only see notification icons that are timely.
If you swipe down you'll see them all, maybe have them segregated between recent notifications and older ones.
As an Android user, I have to say it feels nice to have iOS users begging for one of our apps for once...
I don't think people will be dragged kicking and screaming. They've seen the turmoil with Reddit over the past few weeks and are looking for alternatives. This could be good education for them, especially as Lemmy is a bit more confusing compared to Reddit.
That's something I'd rather not bring back please
Yeah, I think the update got mass-released yesterday. Seems like everyone is able to pull it now.
I haven't used Boost in a while, but I love Sync and especially how much the dev cares about the app and the community.
They have one already. OP probably just linked this one by mistake.
This sucks, but maybe this will allow them to make "This week in Google" actually about Google and not just miscellaneous stuff.
