Damn that sounds amazing, thanks for the thorough details

So you’re saying the government prints enough new money each year to cover its expenses and then collects taxes to stave off inflation? Do you have a source for this?

What do you mean by “new money”?

I’d argue that the most meaningful action an individual can take is to stop buying from corporations. That would disrupt the oligarchy and put money back to the local community, assuming you then shop local. Everyone I talk to about this idea says they can’t do it because it’s too expensive, and then they go on vacation four times a year to extravagant places. People will bring their own bags to the grocery store and shower for five minutes instead of six, but that’s about it. Disrupting pleasure and luxury is not an option for 99% of people it seems.

Truly my dream, but I don’t think Sacramento’ll go for it, sadly. I can’t believe we Californians don’t have a Bernie or AOC-like person representing us at our state capitol. Lot of socially liberal/fiscally conservative people out here who pander to the rich

I work for a non profit and don’t own a car, so personally my options are limited when it comes to the idea of going on strike or going to a specific location to protest. I do call my representatives but unfortunately they’re mostly just talk and no action. I share your frustration though, my question of what to do was genuine because as one person, it’s hard to feel like I can do anything when so few people care or take interest in what’s going on. For what a buffoon trump is, he certainly has perfected the art of spreading fatigue and apathy among the liberal half of americans.

What are we supposed to do?

Privilege. Privilege is the reason you don’t understand.

At least the American revolution wasn’t about keeping slavery

Be the change you wanna see in the world

Yes, those aren’t great either. Depending on what you’re buying, you can order from the store’s website directly rather than from Amazon, so that’s another alternative for you

Honest question, do you live in a town where the only place to buy stuff is Walmart?
