Every red card is 2 extra matches' worth of minutes in our players' legs. The PGMOL love to put their thumb on the scale.

Honestly to me it speaks to a lack of confidence in yourself to reach the very top. I will never criticize a young player for wanting to (effectively) cash out on their career by going somewhere like United or Chelsea, because you can earn a good 5M over the course of a 2-3 year contract, but it means you'll probably never play top level football. Neither of those teams are chomping at the bit to play academy players, they'd rather buy starting players - it's in their DNA.
