No worries, it's a valid suggestion!

I'm just accessing via desktop browser. I'll check the apps though thank you!
Yep, I'm having a hard time remembering exactly when I switched - feels like 3 years ago? I had been watching them excitedly since they forked from Emby, and as soon as it sounded like they were pretty happy with where it had stabilized I jumped ship from Plex.
Had some very minor issues very early on that I mention only for full disclosure, but it's been like a rock otherwise, and absolutely no BS of any kind from the team or the product.
Jellyfin was forked from Emby in response to exactly those things several years ago. It's a reliable, well supported, actively developed product that replaced Plex for me with ease.
Can you please tell me what I'm responding to so I can create one also? By that I mean - on reddit there was a "selfpost" or "text post" - a top level comment with a subject but without an external link.
That appears to be what I am responding to here. But when I try to create one, my options are to add a Link, Article, Post, Photo, or Video. I would think I want to do a post, but that takes me to the microblogging tab, and that doesn't look like what I'm trying to do.
How do I do a "selfpost" in reddit terms please?
I poked my head in this morning after staying away a couple of days. I've been on the fence about whether this event spells the end of my time on Reddit or not. I think it does. The comments like OP shows in his meme, combined with the behavior of Spez since the blackouts - that's just not something I want to be a part of. I don't want to contribute in the smallest way to the continued dominance of Reddit in that category of social media platform.
I'll mull it over another few days, but pretty sure my main account is getting deleted this week. I have a secondary account that I might just stop using, but (due to what I use it for) am not quite sure I want to delete yet.
Probably means I need a new kbin account too, since I din't really consider whether "runningfrommreddit" was a name I'd want to potentially use for years when I set it up. 😁
Same one! ;-)
LOL I want to live in a world where he sees and laughs at this.
