What a cast! Bobby Cannavale can sing?? I’m in the same boat, but I would like to find a weekend of overlap between this show and Sweeney Todd (and Back to the Future) to go to NY. But I forgot about Merrily, I’d love to see that too! So many Sondheim revivals to see! I’m glad I got to see Into the Woods at least.
rubbishh
No wayyyy! That is amazing, I’m so jealous! I hope you have a great time, and I’d love to hear your review after!
I’ve seen some clips of the production on tiktok and it looks so good. Ramin somehow sounds even better than he did for the 25th anniversary!
I’m scared to watch this show after what I’ve heard about it and I’m a big fan of The Weeknd. I don’t want this show to give me the ick whenever I listen to him in the future lol
The recent series Jury Duty was hilarious and surprisingly wholesome and showed how there are actual good people in the world.
I know it’s kinda corny and basically a big ad for Google but I low key love The Internship. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are hilarious together and the movie is about how it’s never too late to change your life and it always just makes me feel good.
This was the most insane hour of tv I’ve ever seen. It was so amazing and unexpected. I felt like the Leo pointing meme every time another actor showed up. And god did this give me anxiety like it was my own family. And the timers! And poor Carmy, you really get what he meant when he said that his family ended up ruining anything enjoyable growing up. I hope Jamie Lee Curtis gets a featured actress Emmy for this, they have something like that for guest stars right?
This was the first Wes Anderson film I’ve ever seen, and I loved it. It was so beautiful and funny, though I definitely feel like I have to see it again to get all of the quick little jokes in it. The part that has stuck with me the most was the lead actor going to the director saying he doesn’t understand the play and the director saying something like “it’s ok, you don’t have to understand it. Just keep going.” And I feel like that applied to the actors, the characters they were playing, and me as the audience. Especially with the characters now wondering about the meaning of life and going through this crazy experience. I feel like I needed that little message and it made the movie that much more special. I’m definitely going to make some time this summer to watch his other films and see how they stack up.
I love how it ties into the mythology of Artemis, now I wish Apollo had done that
I love that angry little face!
Thanks for the link, he’s not bad! And you’re right with how important this musical is I’m sure there’s a reason they chose him above everyone else who would love to be in it. It’s so sad to think that this is the last new Sondheim musical. But wow you get to see all the best productions, I’m jealous!
