Well I’ve hardly ever seen people genuinely follow through on what they say. The people I met are mostly all bark but no bite.

As for myself? I’m an anarchist. I really don’t give a shit for either side of the argument. I’ll gladly watch the world burn :)

Depends on the server and community 🤷 Technology community on lemmy.world is upvoting another person who said the same thing as I.

Alright, then they’ll just have to stop consuming a lot of things they buy online. Also they can’t buy from places that use Stripe terminals. I’d like to see an entire group of people get up from their lounges and buy grocery in person because their local home grown market with home delivery uses stripe checkout.

Actually quite stoked about this as it boasts those librewolf privacy features while having a UI similar to Arc. Can’t wait for it to exit Alpha

Maybe for you, but there are large parts of the world that are relying on crypto such as the African region which for them has been a game changer as an alternative to their unstable currencies.

Sounds like an addoption problem for you. The question asked what other alternative there is and cryptocurrencies solve the problem you stated there is no alternative to. Simple as that

Interesting, I see why you’re saying that who wants to do harm with your code can do so however they want. Although licenses are the rules of the system which gives a fighting chance to stop such abuse if I can. Not that the system works properly most of the time, but it doesn’t mean it never will.
