I was so hyped for SNW. Then at the s1 finale I was so hyped for this arc. And it was better than I could've imagined.

If I had to name a single favorite moment, it'd be when (SPOILER) Una admits to turning herself in. That unyielding integrity is what makes her such a badass, and a great number one for Pike.

I feel like I've seen more original memes in the past two days on Lemmy than in the past two years on r/prequelmemes.

My first was technically Tenant, the Pompei episode. Just felt weird to me. Didn't try the show again until Moffat & Smith's Eleventh Hour, and fell in love instantly.

Crazy to think. But I'll be damned if it isn't still cool.

Misleading headline. From the article:

"They were concerned that general purpose AI systems would be included as high-risk systems and worried that more systems, by default, would be categorized as high-risk.” The message officials took away from that meeting was that OpenAI—like other Big Tech companies—were afraid of “overregulation” that could impact AI innovation.

It wasn't that they were hypocrites for asking to regulate AI then lobbying against it; they just wanted the burden to be on the folks applying AI to dangerous areas, rather than on the developers of the general-purpose AI; which isn't a crazy request IMO.
