You're right, I agree and should have pointed that out myself. I'm constantly seeing both parts being used as an excuse not to change by either side respectively and it angers me. If one side starts, then at least the other can't use them as an excuse anymore.

Personal responsibilities and actions are important ofc but pale in comparison to systematic, structural change that is needed. E.g. a few people significantly reducing their diet of animal products or going vegan is great (hence I did it), but as long as slaughtering and abusing animals is subsidized by billions from the state level this won't have a large affect :/

Maybe I misunderstand, but just to clarify: I assume he didn't mean "satire" created by PragerU but as in satire created by e.g. the onion. So to see if the post was real (or fake/satire) he'd have to visit their insta which he didn't want.

I just wanna add that one reason this monopoly is dangerous is that Google (could and nowadays) does use it to dictate "web standards". So e.g. they don't come anymore from organizations that develop standards but Google just forces their own standards by sheer power of market dominance.
Absolutely. I didn't mean to say he "only" changed my view, in case that's the impression. He is a great man, the entire (digital) world is built on his legacy so to say, yet barely anyone knows about him.
PS: little anecdote as I once went to an Apple Store and scrolled through the software licenses in the settings on an iPad of iOS and found one crediting Richard Stallman as the author. I just left it like that, thought it's funny having his name on an iPad in the Apple Store :p
