What do you say to those who use Wells Fargo (brick and mortar institution) and and screw you over by opening accounts on your behalf?

I've been using Ally (an online bank) for decades. They told me that they are FDIC insured (and they are), but I would never thought to go to FDIC gov website to double check their words. I bet most Americans don't do that. It is not a reasonable expectation.

I don't think these folks were making bad decisions. These folks were lied to and were robbed.

I had to help out a client this week because this migration broke their website. Turns out that Squarespace's omain forwarding feature drops query params. This brokes thousands of links. Fun times.

Ya, that's exactly my thought. I had Penitum 1 and Pentium 3/4 during those years. Pretty sure they are 686 and beyond.

Wow, I remember watching this when I was a kid. Thanks for posting this.

Yes, this sshd attack vector isn't possible. However, they haven't decomposed the exploit and we don't know the extent of the attack. The reporter of the issue just scratched the surface. If you are using Arch, you should run pacman right now to downgrade.

liblzma is the problem. sshd is just the first thing they found that it is attacking. liblzma is used by firefox and many other critical packages.
