Project1999.

Dark Days is an American documentary film directed, produced, and photographed by the English documentarian Marc Singer. Shot during the mid-1990s, it follows a group of people who lived in the so called Freedom Tunnel - a railroad tunnel carrying the West Side Line under Riverside Park in Manhattan, New York City. The filming took two-and-a-half years. Documentary won three awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

That's awesome! Do you remember the name of the module? Interested to see how Metamorphosis Alpha ties into all this.

Nice read about the changes introduced in the first update to the Gamma World. If you're unfamiliar with this ttrpg and its setting, in his retrospective James links another article about the 1e.

Always fun to see such atmospheric content. Nice touch on wikipedia articles that go along with the photos.

Nope. Anyone romanticizing space exploration should play Pioneer or Evochron Legacy. Space is vast and boring to travel.

There's so many films/series produced already. If nothing new ever came out, you'd still have enough to last more than a lifetime.

To quote the book itself:
"It seemed so ... solid. All the institutions, law enforcement and military. All the rules and systems that were in place. You’d think a modern society would be able to withstand challenges. But it all just crumbled when this thing got out of hand."

Just finished the series, what a ride! You've got nine books, each describing events that took place during one day. Really "Night of the Living Dead"esque. Action takes place at the beginning of the outbreak in Denmark. The setting makes it a quite different read from traditional US based apocalypse. There’s no widespread gun ownership in Europe, so you'll be following lots of close, in-your-face struggles, usually ending in bites.

The only fictional documentary that won Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Despite being produced for BBC it was withdrawn from airing in 1965, after causing dismay with its depiction of violence and human suffering. Mind you, the film questions the survivability of a nuclear attack despite following the government guidance. The TV ban didn't forbid the cinematic distribution.

Triple-feature along with The Day After, Nicholas Meyer (1983) and Threads, Mick Jackson (1984).
