MODERATOR OF

I've subscribed to a number of communities on other instances. I see their posts in my feed. But when I go to the mirror of that community on my local instance I see a yellow 'Subscribe Pending' button. Sometimes I can click that, then re-click 'subscribe' twice. Sometimes that will show me as 'joined', other times it will show 'Subscibe Pending' again.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? What does it mean?

Rejoice and be merry! We've doubled our RAM. Hopefully this offers a better experience to our new members. Holler if you experience any issues!

I know profilers and debuggers are a boon for productivity, but anecdotally I've found they're seldom used. How often do you use debuggers/profilers in your work? What's preventing you? conversely, what enables you to use them?

If you want to create a community (subreddit), post in this thread. Give me a blurb and I'll set you up as a moderator.

Community creation is disabled for now because I need to look into moderation/guideline/not getting arrested. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best,

Welcome to Anarch.is!

Lemmy is a federated network of reddit servers (instances). You can create an account on this instance and read, post, and comment on other instances. Each instance has communities (subreddits) which are hosted there.

On each view there's an option to view 'Local' or 'All'. 'All' is probably what you want since it will show you content found on other instances.

As users on this instance subscribe to communities on other instances, those instances will start appearing on our shared instance timeline.

To find and add communities, you can use this community browser. You can also find communities by creeping on some of the larger instances(1)(2). When you find something you like you can return to Anarch.is and search for the community like this:

!<community>@<instance> for example [[email protected]](/c/[email protected])

It may take a couple of seconds for the community to appear in the search results. Please be patient.

A faster way to add a community to this instance is to visit a URL like this:

https://anarch.is/c/<community>@<instance> for example https://anarch.is/c/[email protected]

That's all for now, PinkPatrol
