If they aren’t critical to the business, have a blast with it. But when the downed services prevent or distract from the invoiceable work, that is a problem.

Will you have an infra team to support these apps? If the answer is no, I would self host anything business critical.
I’ve never noticed that in the docs! That’s pretty cool. I’ll have to try set it up sometime.
This TPLink switch has been pretty much invisible for my setup, using 5 of the 8 ports. https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/managed-switch/tl-sx3008f/
SingleFile mentioned! It’s one of the few browser extensions I have installed. Nothing but good things to say about it.
Have it be accessible over Tailscale (or similar) and that alleviates a lot of the access concerns. No need to setup port forwarding either.
I landed on lire for iOS after trying out a few apps, for my FreshRSS instance. It works and has spotlight indexing, which is nice.
I’ve also been using News Explorer which relies on iCloud for sync. I like to have the separate app just to change up the feed notifications and News Explorer has a grid view that works for me on an iPad. I mostly use this for news sites, and I found the grid view to be the most pleasing for those kinds of articles.
