that’s so sweet thank you for sharing your experience! i luckily haven’t had any issues so far with losing anything, but hopeful that whenever i eventually do drop my phone or something it’ll be with people like that around me :)

i've only been to maybe 4 concerts, but i personally LOVE LOVE LOVE mosh pits lol. i'm into typically pretty high energy screamy rock music, so pits like that are pretty much always ongoing for whoever is interested, and i just really like the energy i guess and fun everyone is having with each other. the feeling of being surrounded by "my people" too who love the band as much as i do is just magical honestly. it helps that every show i've been to so far has had really kind people in the crowds ready to help you if you've lost something or anything is wrong :)
definitely agree, though the way that lemmy isn't overseen by a single entity would likely mitigate some of the negative effects in my opinion. but there's definitely a sweet spot between inactive and dead communities and ones which are too active, in a way i tend to not be a fan of (thinking of mainstream subs like r/funny and r/askreddit's quality drop). in any case though, if an instance you're in gets too mainstream for your liking, you can just hop over to a new, smaller instance/community and join local groups they have there for similar interests ¯\(ツ)/¯
completely understandable, there's WAY too much shitty stuff happening at the moment with reddit to be able to keep track of it all honestly
they probably are referring to the fact that reddit isn't allowing 3rd party apps to have NSFW content on them
tried going down this stupid kiddie monkey slide at a local festival a few years ago- was wearing shorts, and didn’t slide but rather tumbled down. skinned my knee and have the scars to prove it still :)
this looks AMAZING
