As soon as I can! :)

No, I'm sorry, I haven't tried selling prints online. I've never set anything like that up before- but it's certainly not a bad idea. Regardless, I'm so glad you like it!

Hmm... I'm not sure! It always reminds me of stained glass, or like colour-block minimalism.

Acrylics, 24"x36" canvas.

I bought these a few years ago at a little shop nearby. They're one of my favourites from my collection.

The case and the glasses themselves are unmarked, except for a sticker that is too worn to read. So, the age is based on my own searches for similarly shaped ones (ear hoopies, contoured nose bar, general shape, case style), which pointed me to something c1910-1920's. I'm always erring on conservative with dating unmarked things...

They're very delicate and wobbly, so unfortunately they're not very wearable anymore!

I found this at a thrift store a few years ago and I've struggled to identify any of the symbols. I've tried online symbol databases, I think I tried reverse image searching, and I've tried just scrolling endless "fish" symbols to no avail. It's handmade and uses poly-fabrics, so it's certainly not an antique (or at least not a really old antique).

I love it. I think it looks really cool. I don't want to hang it up, though, if it has meaningful and/or religious meaning that would make that inappropriate.

Can anyone toss a theory my way? Is this religious imagery? Will it curse my descendants? Is this someone's Saturday afternoon craft, and they had no foresight that their fun "designs" would torture the back of my brain for years?

Saw a panel discussion where the devs called it "kuhd". I refuse to surrender. It will always be caved of "could" in my heart 😮‍💨.

I don't know, I feel like if you have the opportunity and the motivation to use quality * mwah * ingredients in one way or another, like freshly ground spices, it's not like it's wasted effort because you also used canned tomatoes. It just elevates all the other ingredients that much more.

Fresh is great but you use what you got, right?

Yeah, definitely not Inkheart. That book/movie was about being stuck in/out of books, not drawings.

Well, the little "seeds" on the outside are nuts by def. The red fleshy part is an accessory fruit.

Clearly AI isn't taking over the meme industry just yet 🧠

Something a little different than my usual?

A gift for my partner! It's not as creepy and weird as I'd intended it to be, but I like it.

My old person trait is that no one is allowed to be mad at me for not answering a random phone call. Sometimes it's ok to leave your phone in the other room while watching a movie, or (gasp!) At home while you're out gardening.

Coffee filter is such a good skin texture. Who knew!

Hey! Thanks for the suggestions. To answer your medium question, it's thick acrylics on a 36"x48" canvas. I've begun some of the larger sections, but I think I'll run with your idea about darkening the ground to reflect the night/early morning lighting. That's a really good point. I haven't started that area at all, so it's pretty easy to switch up colours there.

There WAS a plan as to which colours would represent how many layers of smoke there were. That plan was tossed out the window somewhere along the way, and I may have very well gotten carried away with the number of shades/hues. I'll look at my pallete and see if I can trim the fat.

Elevation- this one is inspired by an ice fishing village that sets up nearby every winter, which is why there is a ring like that (ice is shoveled off to allow people to set up their shacks, and then people create this distinct array of lines surrounding the area to tell people how far onto the ice they can go safely.)

Any and all suggestions/criticism are welcome! It's a WIP.

Seems nice.
