Where I live, we drive on the right, but pass on the left, so I do that. For stationary or oncoming obstacles, go right; for passing things moving the same direction as me, go left.

I'm in the same boat. I've looked around and there really isn't anything. You could buy some third-party joy-cons but you'll have the same issues.

Workaround for now is to make sure you have line of sight between the joy-con and the steam deck. Their reception is fine when unobstructed.

oooh, wiby got a .org? nice.

I don't know about self-hosted search yet, but I think that's one place where federation might actually be a feature and not overhead.

If you're gonna dismiss it like that then I'd love to hear what your pain points are. What's so bad about containers for multi-platform applications?

I think you're approaching this in the right way. You know that logically it's not worth your time to dwell on something you can't change, but knowing that doesn't change how you feel about it, because feelings aren't rational.

You can't make the feelings go away, but you can find a better way to express them. You came here because you needed to talk about your feelings, and that's a good start, although in general the internet makes a poor therapist. I would recommend starting a journal, either on paper, in text, or using a voice recorder, whatever feels most natural. Journals are good listeners.

Pay attention to yourself. Allow yourself to recognize your emotions, and how they affect your body. Listen to your breathing. Put a finger on your wrist and try to feel your pulse. Take a moment to be aware of your hunger, your thirst, your aches and pains, and how all of them feed back into your emotions. Work with your emotions, not against them.

This isn't a new problem, Reddit was the same way. As a site grows, it gets harder to moderate, and that means more people trolling for attention. Go to your user settings and change the default view from "All" to "Subscribed", and you'll have more control over your home page.

You're absolutely in a progressive bubble. If everyone were progressives, Donald Trump would have been laughed out of the primaries. There are a lot of people who are brainwashed or spiteful or both.

Why is everyone concerned with making humans work? We already have technology to where one human's work can feed, clothe, and house a hundred more, right? So, pay the one human twice as much, as an incentive, and then give a free ride to ninety-nine more. We don't need everyone to be at work all their life.

Hey, don't claim to represent my opinion if you don't understand my reasoning. I don't think art is mystical or spiritual at all, not in the way you're describing it. Art is absolutely about patterns, and I agree that those patterns are inevitably going to be learned by computers.

My objection is not to "AI Art" in general, but to the specific type of art which is brute-force trained to mimic existing art styles. When organic artists take inspiration, they reverse engineer the style and build it up from fundamentals like perspective and lighting. Stable Diffusion and other brute-force ML algorithms don't yet know how to build those fundamentals. What they're doing is more like art forgery than it is like art.

And even then, I don't really take issue with forgery if it's done in good faith. People sell replicas of famous paintings, and as long as they're honest about it being a replica, that's cool too. Ethically my objection is that AI artists typically "hide their prompts" and try to sell their forgeries as originals.

Steam Input does support capturing the "mute" button from the Dualsense, by the way -- by default it's just used as a screenshot button, but I believe you can re-bind it. But yeah, I got excited when I heard they also capture the paddles from the Dualsense Edge and the Xbox Elite.
