Another use you can give it is an offline, turn by turn navigation gps. OsmAnd is an excellent app that provides you with offline navigation. Install something else, like a modded Youtube Music/Spotify app or even AntennaPod if you're into podcasts and you pretty much have a cheap, budget Android Auto unit. Sure, it will not be the best of all, but it's pretty much free at that point, and it will get the job done.

I'm actually using an old Android I had laying around and collecting dust (Huawei P20 Lite), battery was pretty much flopping, but as a Linux user tried to give it a second life and made a sort-of Android TV box of it.

I installed a TV launcher and 2 main apps (SmartTubeNext and Cloudstream), then connected it to my main Linux laptop through cable and run a program called scrcpy which let's me duplicate the image/audio to a separate window in my laptop. Cheap and dirty, but it works flawlessly.

Salvadorian here. Ppl here definetly use whatsapp as a pretty much jack of all trades, including work stuff. Weirdly enough people don't care about privacy, despite the fact that any other messenger app is far way superior that whatsapp, people just don't use it or put any excuse to not even try.

Hell, if you tell em "I don't have an account/wa installed" like myself, they pretty try to exclude you or advice you to install it and to stop being a pain in the ass to deal with, it's just plain ridiculous

Wild to me that there is a law that legally allows me to literally shoot someone on sight, but can be arrested if trying to sell inofensive, day to day stuff at my house. American priorities first I guess?

But it's your house !?

I'm no lawyer or anything, but isn't there a law that lets you do whatever the fuck you want to your house (something along the line of "castle bla bla bla doctrine"?

In Latin america is pretty much the norm that in small neighborhoods there is at least 2 to 3 small stores in ppl's houses. I dunno about the US, but it can definetly help with the "car everywhere" culture, the enviroment and why not? also letting people getting some extra bucks by providing their neighbors with stuff they probably don't want to buy in huge quantities or are too lazy to drove to the store for.

It was lurker's paradise (me included) before actually changing to Infinity and making an account. Sad to see a nice project go dark because of reddit greediness.

I literally had to look for a patched Chrono Trigger Rom with Spanish translations bcuz nor Square Enix, nor Nintendo ever released it with spanish dialogues in mind. Now my little sister is able to enjoy it, and it is always thanks to the community that Nintendo despise. So as always fuck Nintendo as a corporate and most important:
