Which ones do people always suggest?

Maybe Cannonball by the Breeders? Rotten Apple from Alice in Chains' Jar of Flies Not generally a big Aerosmith fan, but the bassline at the start of Sweet Emotion is fun and not too difficult.

All the side characters on space ghost coast to coast had their own personal geocities style pages, I loved those.

I’m super into csound, it’s kind of my weapon of choice. It’s slow and awkward workflow wise, but it just clicks for me. Do you have any groups or boards where you discuss that? I’d love to start one here.

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot had a lot of sounds and instrumentation coming from all around. I always liked the voicing and panning on the Flaming Lips albums The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi. They’re pretty compressed though.

Why not both? Can’t we hope enough stuff leaves twitter to hasten it’s demise and that threads implodes after a short period of over inflated reports of success?

Man, I do love this album. I was just starting college when it came out and it was discussed a lot in my circle of friends. It was a shift for me into thinking of a specific album and it’s creative choices critically rather than just liking a particular artist or band.

The perverts guide to ideology with Slavoj Žižek is a documentary / informational movie I keep going back to. Just makes you think about a lot of stuff in a different way.

He’s begging for traffic, which equates to money for his ad sales. It is pretty pathetic.

That sounds fun. I find I’m often picking out Melodies on my kid’s toy piano just because there’s no set up needed.

The number of times the “news” headline display shows me something that catches my interest and then disappears and refreshes to something else before I was able to finish reading it infuriates me.

You know why I get a hotel room? To poop in peace. No kids bangin’ on the door, No phones ringin’. It’s my time! Every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm! I don’t know why I only go twice a week.

I'm a dad, so I have no time and all my gear is old. I want to start making music again, but I think I need to more or less start over in terms of gear and software.

I'd like to hear a bit just about what you all are using to make music.

Are we all using Macs and commercial software like Logic or Abelton? Anyone bravely trying to work things with Linux? Anyone kicking it old school and recording to tape? Anyone using light weight set ups like iPads or tiny Zoom recorders?
