I drove three hours to Sweetwater to play almost every Strandberg they had in stock. Was totally worth the trip. They brought up 12 from the back, I play each for a few mins and quickly narrowed it down to three. Then I prob played those three for about an hour comparing everything about them. I don’t usually spend a couple grand on a guitar, so in my mind it had to be perfect.

The Steinberger for an inexpensive guitar plays surprisingly good. Its biggest issue IMO was the fact that the volume knob was right up against the bridge pickup. My hand was constantly hitting it. So, I swapped the volume knob for a low profile kill switch, then moved the volume knob down to where the tone knob used to be. (pic below)

I also bought some ball bearings for the bridge tuners, but haven’t got around to installing them. The bridge tuners on the Steinberger are extremely stiff.

Even if they never go native, the experiences great so far. I’m impressed.

I’m running the macOS Sonoma beta. It has that new add-to-dock feature that essentially makes any web page feel more like a local app.

I know that’s not a new concept, but the implementation is really nice.

wefwef is also great as a desktop app.

The Strandberg is by far the best guitar I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned about 15 guitars over the past 30 years. Plays like a dream, is incredibly light, and has amazing tone. The EndurNeck felt like home as soon as I started playing. Zero regrets.

The hose is behind the camera with me. The water over her head is coming from said hose.

macOS Sonoma's new feature to add sites as web apps to the dock works beautifully with wefwef.

I'm blown away what a great experience this is for a web app. Really.
