“We must ship what we said we would” means they’re not backing down on their pricing out of 3PA and they’ll put together some half baked mod tools held together with duct tape and a dream to placate the people they replace the mods who leave with.
Maybe some great mods will stay, maybe they’ll leave and be replaced, but bad tools will mean more low end content / trolls / harassment / etc and the place will eventually feel less like someone would want to go.
Oh I am sure they’re going to end up putting back a large number of subs. It’s going to happen. The place will fill up with trash if there aren’t good dedicated mods taking care of things but I’m sure the admins are going to force the major subs to reopen.
Maybe mods will keep more subreddits down indefinitely then.
I’d rather spend a couple bucks donating than see ads. If I was on an instance that decided to add ads I’d change instances and if ads were in the communities themselves I’d find a similar ad free community.
I generally don’t mind NSFW content but I have it turned off myself so I can scroll wherever and it not matter, but I’m finding some communities pop up in All with nudes anyway. It must be an error on the community’s part to not have their community labeled correctly.

It’s in its infancy but it is functional and I read that the team is hoping to have a 1.0 on the App Store by July 1.
It feels pretty good to use, it has some bugs but I’m into it.

I looked at kbin too and wasn’t fond of the interface personally, then I read that when things are running correctly they federate here and since I liked how Lemmy looks and works a lot more I came here. Course come to find out there are issues federating here but that’s okay, everything’s getting hugged hard right now. Hopefully things shake out soon so we can all play together if we choose to.
