I think someone sold it to him knowing he was too incompetent to have a second source check it.

TLDR he provided a bunch of packet captures “proving” voting traffic was going to non American IPs. His captures where shown to have been faked because the packet checksums didn’t match, but only on the packets showing traffic going to non American IPs.

If you actually read the article it seems pretty factual. It lists Bush’s claims and then has a response. Seems to merit the rating.

The reporting of the Bush administration’s position and the response seems fair.

**IRAQ:**

STATUS: Since 1998, the Iraqi government has barred U.N. weapons inspectors from examining sites where some suspect that nuclear, chemical or biological weapons are made and stored. The United Nations has said it will lift sanctions against the Middle Eastern country -- in place since Iraq's invasion of Kuwait and the ensuing Gulf War in 1991 -- only if inspectors can verify that Iraq has dismantled all its weapons of mass destruction. In an editorial this month in a state-run newspaper, Iraq again denied it has or is developing such weapons.

RESPONSE TO BUSH'S SPEECH: "This statement of President Bush is stupid and a statement that does not befit the leader of the biggest state in the world," Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan said Wednesday.

For the record you should probably change your password. That way they can’t even try.

Long story short they burnt good will buy pre selling Linux phones with a “no questions asked” refund policy. The phone was delayed for literal years and they changed the refund policy such that you couldn’t really get a refund. People were rightfully upset.

IBM/Redhat do the lion share of Linux development.

I do not see myself as a bigot, correct. I also don’t tolerate bigots.

I do my best to create non bigoted spaces by not tolerating bigots.

I recommend you take a look into what the paradox of tolerance is. It’s not too complicated of a subject in the scope of moral philosophy as a whole.

If you are interested in moral philosophy I could recommend a few books if you like.

Don’t try to “paradox of tolerance” this situation. Lol.

The solution is to not tolerate bigots.

I think a better framework might be, don’t be bigoted and don’t spread misinformation.

If people saying “don’t vote, both sides are the same” and the like is understood to be electioneering I think this would be fair.

Excited to see where this goes. :)

For me? Yes. But this is the fediverse. We all choose our instances based on the rules therein. If I wanted a space that was federated with them I would move to such an instance.

It may in context stand for Marxist Leninist. I don’t know. I myself am not a Marxist Leninist nor am I a fan of how Lemmy.ml is run.
