Oh really? I bought it on the strength of Judith when that got released as a single and I was instantly hooked on the whole album. Hearing 3 Libras and Orestes for the first time, I felt this album would define my musical tastes.

The MTV Live version of this chokes me up every time. I love this song but I can't listen to it too often.

Have you listened to スリープ 研究 プログラム by Woob? It's not exactly the same but gives me a similar vibe.

Yay! this is a gorgeous album

I love this track from Monolithe's "Epsilon Aurigae" EP.

Also, Musk seems to be relying on not addressing global warming to accelerate his ambition of colonising Mars.

$2 is an amazing price! I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

An oxymoron 😂

Oh wow! Tarkus brings back memories. When I was a kid I used to listen to that with my dad. What a great, weird album.

It depends on your thresholds. Most of the weird shit was sexual, which I don't have a moral issue with other than I didn't consent to be exposed to it.

SpoilerUnfortunately there were some other types of photos with content that we felt necessary to inform police about. Not explicitly CSAM, but children were involved.

Oh wow. I know we don't know each other but I want to thank you, and other people, doing this job. It's so important.

I worked two separate jobs doing film photo processing when I was a university student. The first was at a factory that handled a lot of police photography. I saw way more crime scene photos than I needed to.

The second time was in the photo development lab for a high street pharmacy chain. I swear, either people didn't realise their photos were developed and handled by other people, or some of them really got off on us seeing their weird shit.

Outrage/protest isn't really evident in pop music, but it's still there in scenes like punk and hardcore. Off the top of my head, Body Farm are a great contemporary punk band that call out (neo)conservatism and fascism.

Edit: check out their track Revolution With Friends

RIP Peter Steele 💚

The title track from the debut album of Insomnius Dei, an Australian death/doom metal band from one of the bandmembers of The Eternal.

Someone has unearthed two demos from the Pretty Hate Machine era: a demo of Sin and a studio version of Maybe Just Once. The only other version of Maybe Just Once is a "live in the studio" recording on the Purest Feeling bootleg, so this newly found version is especially interesting.

It's great to hear these demos, even if they're only 50 second clips.

I like to think of this as "opium den metal".
