A lot of the stuff in modern The Art Of War publications was added later - basically glorified notes - by scholars who assume it illustrates some point made by Sun Tzu. They don't always hit their mark, though.
If you do nr. 3 the others will simply happen pretty much by themselves.
Absolutely not. If you look hard at the colonialist shitfuckery the US perpetrated during the (so-called) "Cold War", "socialism" was only the enemy as far as the propaganda and pretexts were concerned - in reality, the insurgencies the US tried to repress and the governments the US undermined were all nationalist in nature.
The US isn't threatened by socialism because the US defeated any internal socialist threat with Roosevelt's New Deal - whether they will do that again is anyone's guess.
Or that any of it was consensual and the particpants was of consenting age.
So how is the whole "blame-leftists-for-the-abysmal-failure-of-our-fake-democracy" gaslighting project going?
It seems a bit laggy.
I thought it was common knowledge that "retainer" was literally the job description of all samurai... but I guess I should have known that the Weaboo Gamergate Brigade would conveniently ignore actual history.
Not really... the white middle class in the US is coming down from their cozy New Deal high and realizing all the "soft power" was literally just empty propaganda. There is a good reason why the US has inspired some of the most evil events of the modern era - Putin cannot hold a candle to that.
I don’t think you know what actual fascism is
I grew up in a fascist state, liberal. I know fascism in the bone. And here's the funny thing - so do you. The difference is that I don't tell myself canned narratives about it when it's staring me in the face.
That's what liberals do - and you sure hate it when anyone points all of it out to you.
But hey, who knows... maybe you will get to "vote harder" and, by some miracle, Biden gets a win come November. And then you'll be performing the exact same histrionics in four years' time and not understanding why.
Lol!
I can't answer posts that Lemmy physically won't allow me to answer, genius.
(and speaking as if you understand) the nuance of the US while you’re all the way in South Africa
Yes... and? Is this the first time you've encountered people outside the US that understands US politics better than the majority of people inside the US?
Guess what... there's nothing strange about that.
You have nothing to say and you’re universally disliked.
Come now, liberal - I'm "universally disliked" because I have "nothing to say"? I expect that is going to make about as much sense as anything else I'm going to get out of you.
Seems like the perfect situation for a hyper-militarized police force to me.
So you want more fascism?
May have something to do with the fact that the police is about as fascist an institution as institutions get.
and now the USA looks like it wants to join in on that “fun”.
The US joined that club before the ink on the constitution had dried. It has never left.
