I'm not even American and I constantly see Lemmy users dunk on me for saying Biden/Harris are corpo dems who don't have policies most people wanted. That DNC and democrat politicians will be to blame if Drumpf wins. Not voters. Not independents. The Party and the Party Leaders.

Republican voter base is most likely to have the motivation or resources or both to go to the voting booth to vote for Drumpf. All other voters need a convincing reason to lose out their paycheck to go vote at risk of losing their job. Dems and Kamala are to blame. Not the voters.

Obama was and is and always will be a centrist playing the role of a leftist. Romneycare watered down with extreme Republican ramrodding torpedoeing their own policies into Romneycare-lite and Obama still went with it. That's some of the reasons why people hate hate and really hate corpo dems and their nominees. Either voters get turned off or turned away or turned against.

Kamala and DNC are to blame for this mess.

Not American.

I remember when I said Biden is elder abuse and Kamala is a corpo dem and maybe this time round if the dems lost DNC AND Kamala are to bear the full blame and responsibility for the loss. Not the voters. Not independents. The DNC and Every Single Democrat Politician. Directly Responsible For This Loss. DNC should be dissolved.

Only Republicans / GOP on one side and Independents on the other side until a new Party for the people and Of the people emerges however long that it may take or may be in forming.

No I don't think it is because "woman" but rather "obvious awkward disingenous hello there!fellow kids!" Reasons why McCain wasn't nominee Kerry failed and many other reasons. Bernie would have won. Just sayin'. But too late now innit. It's not old guy or woman. It's how the dems campaign with zero and negative ~~conviction~~ benefits or reasons for voters to go vote. Not copium but sad reality. Most people live paycheck to paycheck. If your policies don't align then they won't risk their life for you.

And climate change doesn't reduce the grocery bills or stop inflation. Just sayin'

Get shots, pay health insurance. Dont get shots, life insurance pays your loved ones.

Macabre and sadly true.

Cool! I might give that a try instead of the Ventoy i use regularly. Thanks for the info !

I use Ventoy regularly but im too lazy to setup Grub2 on a USB and load up isos.

Not sure who these Ventoy fanbois or bros are.

Yup Ventoy does hide binary blobs and has some dodgy devs and code. Use at own risk.

Also I dont have any sensitive stuff. So mostly Ventoy is used to install playground server isos and stuff. Not much use for it otherwise.

At the expense of employee benefits, shareholder value/payouts, public interests, competition, everyone and everything ,except M$ board & C-suite , lost money.

I wonder how Microsoft feels about XBox and other things. Gaining marketshare by throwing money at it is an absolutely viable strategy for companies that can do it.

AMD doesnt need to price-cut to compete here. If AMD could make OpenCL and similar projects more successful than CUDA and nVidia, which requires time, money, investment in people, talent, etc etc. then AMD might in 2 or 3 years have a viable alternative to compete.

so-called "gravity batteries" is pretty much exactly a dam with a mini-dam/reservoir at the bottom. When there is an excess, you run the motor to reverse the waterflow to pump uphill into a highe-elevation water retention pond/mini-dam.

This also helps reduce the amount of outflow water "lost" due to high-demand. Since you could take almost a day to fill the bottom reservoir and spend "wind"/solar to pump back the "lost" water downstream back into the higher-level reservoir.

Even if things are inefficient wind/solar are "renewable", so you can keep "wasting" excess to replenish the dam and still make enough money back ( think in-terms of drought, flooding, windy, sunny, cloudy, etc ) you can basically keep the high-output "system" always topped-up with water. And still supply water + electricity as it is needed. There is no "downside".

Not everyone agrees. So opinions can differ.

Has anyone read thoroughly DragonSteel and WayOfKings both as Prime-versions as well as the normal canonical versions?

spoiler

Spoiler WayOfKings Prime seems to be better than DragonSteel Prime.

I found DragonSteel Prime kind of not a very good or even cohesive storyline compared to the WayOfKings Prime.

WayOfKings-Prime reads almost like if someone tried to "Hollywood"-ify BrandoSando's WoK without really reading anything about Cosmere.

But DragonSteel-Prime reads like some crazy drunk person tried to combine Pug/Magician and BelGarion/Belgariad(David Eddings ) and some more fantasy settings.

I want more of these stories, the first drafts and the final editions ! It is very very fascinating how each story got revised, cut, re-written, re-arranged, etc.

Im on openSuse 15.4 and DX12 doesnt seem to have any workaround. How do I fix ? Can i install DX12 somehow ? Will Proton fix it with winetricks or steamtricks ?
