Last i knew, he was selling corn and soy seeds around his hometown.

Based on my experiences, he was a good dude. I have my own opinions about big ag, but I heavily doubt he sees it like I do.

I never forgot! Didn't have insurance that would make Healthcare cheap enough for me for 15 years. Just paid the fine for not having access.

Got looked at with the help of workers comp when I tore muscles in my lower back doing tree work. The physician said there was no weakness, no "foot drop". I'm not a small person - i tried to convey that some of my lower body was at 60%.

Made me feel like a drug seeker. He prescribed oxycontin and sent me on my way. Gave half to a buddy that I didn't think would get addicted as easily as I would.

That was when I started to realize that all of the education and training didn't necessarily make all doctors smarter. There are certainly good doctors as well.

I'm thankful for the internet and whatever amount of critical thinking I've gained over the years.

For real. Buying groceries is increasingly stressful. Folk tend to reach into personal space of others, leave their carts in intersections, and generally not give a damn about the person next to them.

I take it very slow and skip the aisle I kind of wanted something from if I see a complication I'd rather not deal with.

We never see ourselves as part of the problem. It isn't easy, though.

When I was young and feeling invulnerable, the heavyweight wrestler for our university (who i worked with) told me I looked tough and cool with a cig hanging from my mouth.

He didn't really have the capacity for dry sarcasm. I remember thinking that was not a good thing to tell me. Especially bc I knew that I wasn't "cool". I was a dork.

There must be a flaw in the study

Schedule a tour of your local water plant! Even small cities have interesting setups, and its in their best interests to give tours and build community trust.

Fair enough. Thanks for the input.

From our perspective, anyway. That environment existed long before the modern terrestrial one did.

It's almost like Russia doesn't deserve more sea ports.

I don't have fomo about crypto or speculative stock trading. I'm sure it'll cause me problems in the end, but I've opted not to procreate, so the end doesn't have to be prolonged.

What a mess. Hopefully, the entitled generationally wealthy folk are the last ones left standing without anyone else to blame. At which point they can engage in fisticuffs like the barbarians once did.

Yeah - this isn't plastic
