I don't think this is what OP meant, but one thing I absolutely love about having a 3d printer is having physical things 'delivered' now-ish lol

AFAIK apps like Infinity are not paying anything because they're currently considered "accessibility tools", although I'm pretty sure they are still subject to a rate limit and a restriction on being able to view any posts labeled or mislabeled as NSFW.

As for the ones who aren't exempt, I guess they're reasonably comfortable with the position they're in, personally I can't say I'd be. One months notice to rugpull an entire API featureset? No thanks. Long prior notice, planned deprecation period are the industry standard, with extensions as necessary. Things work differently in FOSS, but Reddit is not a FOSS project.

I feel like Spez got upset Apollo was featured in the Apple ad and they weren't.

The last sentence makes the rest of the comment feel like an unfair generalization of Lemmy and Linux users, which in this context likely may make people even more heated, given the subject of the discussion.

While there technically isn't anything breaking the rules in your comment, please try and keep responses civil, since this was reported to us

If you are not willing to follow the rules of this community clearly outlined in the sidebar, moderation action will be taken as necessary.

Your original comment, which was removed by another moderator, was a very clear attack towards the OC; Do note that attacks directed towards other users are not allowed in this community.

You are free to share your views in this community as long as they adhere to the community and this instance's rules. However, if your views on "civility/politeness" means you are complicit in attacking other users here, you are free to contribute elsewhere on the internet.

Apparently a tiktok video? I haven't seen the original, however if you pop open a search for "man vs bear" or "man or bear in the woods" there's some other coverage on it

Hi, just a gentle reminder about Rule 1 in this comm - discussion of politics is not allowed; this includes usage of adjacent terminology

I cancelled my prime a while back. I wasn't using it much at all, and found buying domestic products direct from sellers' shopify sites works out fairly well.

As for the video side of things, I pretty much just watched a couple episodes of two shows, and then never touched it again lol.

No compelling reason to give amazon my money, and I guess this move by them is another nail in the coffin 🤷‍♂️

Horror stories like this make me a bit disheartened, specifically in cases where the partner being abused/cheated on is the one who has their life and kids taken away.

There may be some nuance to these stories, but that's almost never shared, so we can only work with what we know

Hi OP, just a gentle reminder about Rule 1 (No Politics). In future please try and refrain from using adjacent terminology in this community, as present in the latter portion of this comment, as this may incite violations of other community rules within the replies

Upvote for unpopular - although I'm an Android user I disagree with this sentiment. While iPhones are more accessible to a wider audience, most of them are already familiar with technology, seeing as we're well over a dozen generations in looking at released iPhones.

Could you add a short body to this post if possible? As it stands this is in violation of rule 5 regarding trolling, particularly as your account was created a few minutes ago.

IMO it pretty much entirely depends on who each moderator is as a person - I think most of the ones you'll encounter on Lemmy are just normal users who want our communities to remain an abuse-free and spam-free zone, with content adhering to the rules.

Outside of that framework, the users are pretty much the authority IMO... they're bringing in the content and the conversation
