We need a solution to this, because honestly the US just lost its democracy.
It's 1933.
Any ideas on ways out of this?

I honestly think this will be the last time we have an election. It's looking like he could possibly take the house, Senate is already red. Likely control of all 3 chambers. Our systems of checks and balances likely won't survive the next 2 years.
The man has outright said he would be a dictator on day one and would make his enemies pay.
1776-2024. RIP America's experiment in democracy.
House and Senate matter far more than the presidency, without them the president has very little influence on policy with exception of veto power.
With 2/3 control, the president wouldn't even have veto power and would be entirely powerless.
Vote for your congressional representation! This is the one day that the little guys can determine the policy direction of the country.
Obama won it in 2008 & 2012, I think she's got a good chance of taking Iowa.
but vaccines are not foolproof
Yes they are. Only pointing out so there is not unnecessary fear spread about rabies. It is 100% preventable before or after exposure.
Does the rabies vaccine work? The rabies vaccine works remarkably well. Studies indicate that if the vaccine is given immediately and appropriately to someone who was bitten by a rabid animal, it is 100 percent effective.

this seems like a good idea! If you want to make a post on [email protected] please by all means go for it! Even if you list only a few states it'd still be a good thing, and I can pin it to the top til the election on Tuesday.
It might only encourage a few votes but every vote counts. Our democracy is hanging by a thread...
Anyone have any predictions whats going to happen after all votes are in and a winner is declared? I'd say violent protests are all but a guarantee with either candidate winning.
Have opinions on what Dems did wrong or where we go from here?
