It says that women were the majority donating, and the biggest group donated between $1,000 and $3,000 - still a lot of money for many common folk, but that's far from the "oligarchs" that you guys are talking about.

But more to the point, you're right. Unfortunately, American politicians have a history of not liking non-whites in positions of power. Under Obama, the GOP shut down the government twice, and the famous "you lie!" line was uttered to him by a Republican during an official act - something that has never happened before. All because he was black.

The problem is not flying the flag. The problem is what flying the flag does: spreading the message and emboldening those who would otherwise be harmless. Or worse, recruit impressionable folks.
