Yeah, i'm in the exact same position. It kind of sucks that i paid money for it and now i don't even have access to it because Microsoft did a truly shitty move. It should be illegal to take away access to a product you paid for like this.

If you want a closer modern OpenTTD you should check out Voxel Tycoon. A really nice builder in the TTD spirit.

The minute i saw that was the minute i changed away from those types of backgrounds on the login screen. In the control panel you can just change it to anything you want
