I'm down. They don't have to hog all of it. Maybe swap some desert with Namibia, a few Tokyo blocks, a peak or two from the Himalayas.

The kind asking for advice or recommendations, but had done zero research and includes minimal context. For example:

Thread: What's a good city to go on vacation for a week where you don't need to rent a car?

Replies: Hmmm Barcelona, Taipei, Tokyo, Prague, Istanbul.

OP: Oh my budget is only $3.50 and I'm from Nebraska and don't have a passport.

I've had Nova Launcher Premium for nearly a decade now that I don't even remember what the difference is with the free version. My favorite feature however are the gestures. I like keeping my home screen clean and the only widget I use is the clock. Through multiple phones, I have muscle memory on which gestures do what - e.g. two fingers counterclockwise is voice recorder and clockwise is camera, one finger swipe up is Shazam and two fingers is Spotify, etc.

One of the things I really liked about it is that there was no explosive denouement (apart from PIke's hug), and Una and Neera didn't automagically become BFFs again at the end. 25 years is a longass time. Even excluding ideological positions, they're strangers now. They probably won't send each other birthday cards. They won't send each other memes on Whatsapp. They won't invite each other to weddings and shit.

And that's okay. Or maybe I'm just projecting. Sometimes I see friends I haven't spoken to in 10+ years on social media, and I think damn back then we couldn't let a day pass without at least a text. But whatever the reason for falling out of touch, I would say I'd be glad if they're thriving and hope things get better for them if they're not. But no interest in rekindling the friendship or initiating contact. And that's okay.

Philippines. This community arose from r/phlgbt, which is a subreddit for LGBT+ in the Philippines. Everyone's welcome though!

Wait for the IPO announcement. Schedule a Quit Reddit Day (similar to Quit Digg Day) the day after the IPO. Get some celebrities (Wil, Arnold, Linus) onboard to make statements in other social media to spook the investors.

I'm not sure how I feel about a Pike-lite episode kicking off the season. Although I like that separating the party gave us more backstory on M'Benga. Ortegas next please?

Was the planet inspired by Zhangjiajie National Park?

Lastly, were I a captain my "thing" would either be "All in" or a comedic "Yatta!!!"

I have no idea. The other person who replied said that it's a bug, but they deleted their comment. I set my view to default on Local/Hot at the moment. "All" moves too fast for me, and I'm not in the mood yet to curate my subscriptions.

#What is Lemmy?

Lemmy is a federated social network. In the simplest terms, it's like anyone can create their own "reddit" (Lemmy instance). Within each instance, you can create custom "subreddits" (Lemmy communities). However, you can subscribe, post, and comment in any "subreddit" in any "reddit". This community is hosted on lemmy.world, but you can join even if your account is registered on lemmy.ml, beehaw.org, or any other instance.

Think of it like a Discord server. You join a Discord server (Lemmy instance) that may have a set of rules or specific ethos. Within that server are channels (Lemmy communities) about various topics. The difference is unlike Discord, you can create your own channel (Lemmy community) even if you're not a server admin!

#How to use

  1. Select an instance you want to register your account on here. This community is hosted on lemmy.world, so you can register there if you like.

  2. After verifying your email address, you'll be sent to the front page of the Lemmy instance you registered on. You can see all the threads in that instance.

  3. If you want to interact with another community hosted on a different instance, go to the search bar and search for it like: [email protected]

  • ! tells Lemmy you're searching for a community
  • phlgbt is the name of the community you are looking for
  • lemmy.world is the Lemmy instance where that community is hosted
  1. If the community exists, you will be taken to that community's front page. Click Subscribe to add it to your personalized front page (or FYP).

  2. On mobile? There are apps! Jerboa for Android and Remmel for iOS.
