The motion on the 12th Malaysia Plan Mid-Term Review (12MP MTR) was passed with a majority voice vote in the Dewan Rakyat today, without any opposition MPs in the hall who staged a walkout during the winding up speech by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

With the exception of Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Muda-Muar), all the MPs from the Opposition bloc walked out of the house due to their dissatisfaction over Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul’s order for Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin (PN-Putrajaya) to leave the hall for disrupting the winding up session by Anwar, who is also the minister of finance.

Opposition that failed to oppose.

“On the matter of asset declaration, the prime minister has strongly criticised since January the existing declaration practice as a ‘sham’ or a ‘gimmick’ and instructed that a more transparent and comprehensive mechanism be drawn up instead, and not just a declaration without a specific format.

It's September and no new mechanism pops up. 🤷

I hope they do, i'm curious what Sabah Sarawak under autonomy would look like since they've been exploited for so long.

Both Syed Saddiq and Muda however indicated that he will still vote for "progressive" government Bills which require two-thirds support in the Dewan Rakyat to become law, especially proposed laws for institutional reforms.

While Pulai win with quite a big majority, PN in Simpang Jeram seems to be catching up. Low voter turnout likely due to two thing: the election having low to no impact to the status quo, so out of state people didn't go back to vote, or; people just doesn't bother to vote because of BN+PH union.

Whatever the case is, they need to work it out for the next 4 years.

Unfortunately the turnout isn't that good, hope the result is good either way.

The balls is on UMNO's court, they will have to convince their voter that DAP is no longer "evil" after decades of saying otherwise.
