Seriously! Apparently they try to claim ownership of you even after you leave now.

It just occurred to me that this ability to communicate with a search engine, that everyone used to call Google-fu, was exactly this! It didn't already know (or think it knew) what you were getting at, and it's took some practice to figure out how to finesse the results.
And this post, being on Lemmy, will be indexable by search engines!
I think you have to do what's best for your people. You have a very particular set of goals with Beehaw, and if the fediverse isn't the right place for that then it's fine to move on. I'll be curious to see what you all decide to do, and, if you do leave, what you end up creating!

I really appreciate this list! We were trying to piece it together last night and couldn't remember who had charged him with what, and what the timeline was.
It's interesting how much recent talk there's been about tires being a major polluter in our world, and every article brings up the fact that EVs weigh more and will therefore cause more tire wear and tear. It's not a false statement, but it ignores all other pollution benefits of EVs, and I find it very suspicious that this narrative is forming as EVs start to really gain traction. There are other solutions, instead of sticking with lighter gas guzzlers: Smaller cars or, gasp, better mass transit and pedestrian/biking facilities!
Mustard. It's more versatile. Besides the obvious condiment uses, it's also a useful ingredient in cooking, can alleviate muscle cramps (eaten), helps with bee or wasp stings (topical), and can be used as a dye.
I had no idea the violent crime rates had decreased to pre-pandemic levels. That's huge, and ofc none of the regular sources want to talk about something so positive.
Different Americans think different things. There's no way in hell I'd let my kid fly alone at six!
Carrots, not cookies! We leave cookies for Santa, carrots and celery for the reindeer.
This is spot on. This hadn't even occurred to me.
