I hate massages while they're happening. They hurt like hell. But then afterward, my back is golden for weeks, so it's worth it. I just have to endure!
Yes! "Eh, I'll try anything once" was my immediate reaction.
"They're not going to care about the details..."
I think you solved your own conundrum. The judicial system could placate Trump and his fans at every turn, and they'll still whine and complain through ignorance and malfeasance. It doesn't matter. In the meantime, I would much rather see justice served through thorough, accurate, and fair application of the law. And that's what is happening here, in beautiful fashion.
Because they're not named after the biome, they're named after the city. Like Austin, Brooklyn, Phoenix, Dallas, etc.
In my experience, it takes months or even years of being in the same orbit of some people to actually become friends with them. It usually starts with meeting for coffee after an event, or some other time that works for both of you. I'm in the PNW (Pacific Northwest), so coffee is our go to. Just keep showing up, make sure you strike up conversations with people, and when it feels right ask them to swap contact info with you.
Against the Storm. I can pick it up whenever I have a free minute, and pause it or save and quit when I need to be doing something else. It's just enough of a challenge to be immersive when I'm playing, but the stakes are low enough that it's not stressful. And the music/ambient noise is lovely.
Carnivale, Boardwalk Empire, the last season or two of Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Marvelous Mrs Maisel. All of those came up on search (amongst many more), and I enjoyed them. Mrs Maisel is one of my favorite shows ever.
Sorry, the first one. ☺️ The fires themselves get less and less coverage every year, and the poor air quality almost none. Like they're bored with it already.
Why don't headlines like this happen when the entire West Coast of the US has AQIs above this (the value in that article is 148, and I've seen numbers in the 300s in WA state during wildfire season). It feels like people complain about the bad air, but our press, or maybe our health departments, aren't spreading the word. This headline is attention-grabbing. Why isn't our press telling us to stay inside? It's always just "sensitive populations" need to be careful, as if it's just the folks with iffier lungs that need to worry about the chewy air.
