Speaking as a Gen X with a guitar... it was all about synthpop, rave and industrial. Who needed guitars in the 80s/90s anyway?

I'm not sure it's that simple - maybe they are playing their Gen X parents' guitars?
Simple: I fucking hate driving. I hate the smell, I hate the noise, and I hate the stress. Thr environmental impact isnt exactly a plus point either. You could say that I'm lucky to live in a place with good public transport, but I actively sought out a place with public transport because I didn't want to rely on a car.
Final nail on the coffin: I developed Menieres disease, so I am prone to intense vertigo attacks at short notice - I couldn't get a license even if I wanted one.
At this point, Sweden's Grippen would be more useful.
I don't know about easy to be expert, but you can have a lot of fun learning and playing simplified versions of pop songs on a basic guitar. IMHO, every household should have one.
It could simply mean they didn't want any of the remaining candidates to get in. I suppose at a push, maybe it makes sense to choose the least worst of the remaining, but I can certainly imagine candidates I would consciously not rank at all.
God, I fucking love curry. How people can think English food is bland completely baffles me. Fuck, even roast beef comes which extremely hot mustard or horseradish.
Downloading music... I was discovering so many cool bands by downloading shitty quality mp3s!
This is fucking retarded, of all the people to get free meals for life, they choose someone who is so rich it wouldn't surprise me if he could buy the entire chain of restaurants.
So... let's start uploading lots of gay/trans porn and swe how long it takes before the policy changes!
If anyone there has time to mess about on lemmy, I sincerely hope they won't share operational information.
I've taken too many trips to count between London and Paris, Marseille, Lille and Brussels. Extremely convenient way to get to France, and SNCF trains are crazy fast. Oh, and I did a trip from Berlin to Paris a few years back. It was kind of interesting - as soon as you were on French track, the train accelerated fast enough to push you back on your seat!
