Currently spending my time revisiting Fallen London and Sunless Sea. It’s really nice to be able to engage with the setting from multiple games that share the same universe and has some limited crossover. During the day I check in on my adventures in Fallen London on my phone, while I roam the Zee in the evenings at home.

Very much recommended if you’re into story based games and deep world building!

Using the Steam refund system more actively has helped me a lot in this regard. At this point I refund about 80% of my purchases - simply because a lot of the games do not engage me after the first 40 minutes.

I'm so happy I stated using the Steam refund system more actively. At this point I refund about 80% of my purchases - simply because a lot of the games do not engage me after the first 40 minutes.

I'd use Anna's Archive for written materials. For audio MaM is really good!

So I've heard! Waiting for that kind of Sunday, so I can sit down and do a focused play through. How long do you reckon it is?

Yes! I've done the opening mission where you head for the incinerator, and there something about this game that makes me bot being able to stop thinking about it.

I don't think I'll be able to drop +30 hours into it, but I'm very keen to play it some more.

As a guy with a lot of real life commitements, I'm hoping I'll get through:

  • Death Stranding
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Half Life: Alyx
  • Titanfall 2

... and some recent shorter indies. But if I even finish one of the abovementioned games, I'll be happy.

Just did! The support this game receives is crazy good for being this old. Constantly adding characters, events, and soon updating the game engine and launching a new map...

The games that receive this kind of love from the developers are few and far between.

Absolutely! I've been contacting the national directorates and Very Serious Organizations in my country asking if they have strategies in place for effectively communicate with the public, in light of Twitter requiring an account to read its content (this happened some weeks ago). I always link to other public bodies or Very Serious Organizations that have done it. Same goes for political parties.

Make them understand that there is a need for reliable communication, and show them that others are doing it as well.

We need to remember that Mastodon (and Lemmy for that Cass) still are pretty niche things. Every example of Very Serious Organizations that joins lowers the barrier of entry for the next Very Serious Organization.

Yes this is my thinking as well. Before reddit I was more than happy participating in forums on subjects I enjoyed. I had want I wanted. I almost have that here as well. That's success in my eyes.

My first thought was SimpleLogin or Firefox Relay. Proton also offers this service through its Proton Pass service. But nothing integrated into Android as far as I know. Hope this helps!

So now that Tide of Shadows has been going on for a while, what are your thoughts on it?

I personally love Rotjaw and the new weather, and am having a lot of fun in the Bayou!

Okay so I see all this talk about ducky printers but if I want one that's not trying to guck me over which would that be?
