Even "bitch drinks" like mikes hards are still almost unbearable for me and taste like absolute shut. I've tried tons of things, from light to hard, and 100% of them are god awful

Seriously, I don't get how anyone can drink that shit and enjoy it? Any time I've tried it just feels I'm swallowing a mouthful of acid. To each their own I guess, but to me I don't know if I could stomach enough of it to ever get drunk

Beautiful picture!! Canada is such a gorgeous place, its on my bucket list to visit

If you're ever in Salt Lake, the Lake Blanche trail is one of the most rewarding hikes to do. There are 3 gorgeous lakes all right next to each other. Blanche of course being the main attraction, but the other 2, Lake Florence and Lake Lillian, are also absolutely stunning. The best part of it, in my opinion, is that even though I went on a busy day, there were almost no people that walked the extra 0.5 mile (if that) to see Florence and Lillian, meaning I had almost the entire area to myself. Not a person in sight. So quiet and peaceful.

Easily the best hike I have ever done. Would 110% recommend

My mistake! I misread your comment, thinking you said just Lemmy instead of Lemmy.world

I can't believe I had no idea this was even released until today... so ashamed. Just barely got done listening to it for the first time

I think its pretty clear they are veering away from the folk aspect of their music, especially with this album. I don't recall hearing any folk in it at all actually. Doesn't mean their new stuff doesn't kick ass though! This album was absolutely excellent, at least for my first listen. I'll 100% be listening to this again, likely many times

Lemmy is actually a few years old now. I couldn't find exactly when it was started, but it was at least 3 years ago. Although from my understanding it was a fairly barren place until it obviously blew up a month ago

I want to climb Sundial Peak at Lake Blanche sometime this year. I wanted to see if you guys had any tips.

My main concern is should I bring any sort of safety equipment, like a helmet? Or is it safe to accomplish without?

Any specific routes I should take?

Anything to look out for?

Anyhing else I should know?

Thanks!

I live on the west side of the valley, and have lived here my entire life. A bit boring out here, I'd like to move east, possibly Milcreek area. So many more things to do there, relative to where I'm at lol.

I love hiking and try to get out every weekend to do it! Just got back from Adams canyon an hour ago even

I did see that one but lemm.ee didn't seem to be federated with the 2 instances I have accounts on so I figured I'd make my own!

I decided to go ahead and make a community for my city! Everyone's welcome, just try to keep on topic!

To kickoff the new community, I wanted to ask what everyone's favorite hiking spots are around SLC

I haven't been on many hikes yet, but my top 3 are:

-Bell Canyon (lower falls)

-Adams Canyon

-Heughs Canyon

I did Lake Blanche alone in February during a blizzard so it wasn't super exciting (I couldn't even see sundial peak 🙁), but I am going to go again this summer, and I'm sure that will easily take the cake for my favorite hike. We'll see!
