Republicans have no plans for any kind of real legislation, they just want to take advantage of probably the last time they have control over Congress to exact revenge for the two times their guy got impeached. They’re not a serious political party.
They all knew they were selling a lie, 60 court losses should have convinced them they were in hot water, yet they persisted.

He was a DUI Enforcement Officer responsible for 3500 DUI arrests since 2004, shouldn’t he have lost his job over this? It says nothing about that in the article.
DeSantis just being DeSantis on TV is enough to make a fool out of himself, he really doesn’t need any outside help.

The election was the most secure in our country’s history, that is a fact, but Trump planted seeds of election interference in 2016, when he won, so there was no denying what his strategy would be in 2020 (and he started on it early in 2020). There were definitely people that voted fraudulently, but it seems the majority of them, that I have seen reported on, were Republicans (voting for dead family members,voting twice, etc).
And he raised over $25m to help people in the service industry get through Covid shutdown. He also gives tons of free airtime/publicity to dozens of small businesses/restaurants/food trucks that help them immensely.

Another part of it is that it won’t be televised in Federal Court, but it will be in Georgia state court. I think it scares him that all the evidence against him will be shown live and hard to ignore.
