I like AI's immense power but using it to replace human interaction with corporation-controlled LLM API bots is a ridiculous idea.

I bought Terraria and Geometry Dash just to support the devs. Also some Valve games as a reward to them for pouring so much effort into the Linux ecosystem and contributing all their improvements back to it.

Replacing a megacorp service is only possible when the stars align and said megacorp makes a fuckup so big users start jumping and these users are still a tiny speck compared to the total userbase. Still I hope Reddit dies slowly.

I went back to Newpipe from Libretube because it became unusable and I got tired from waiting for hotfixed whenever Google got ahead in the cat and mouse game and having to jump between instances

But is hosting your own mail server and using it for work/finances/everyday life still an option? I don't think so, at least not without workarounds because sooner or later you will have to send/receive to/from big email.
