for some reason, out of all of the adjectives you listed, weird is the only one that seems to have an effect on boomers. If it works, it works

everyday I'm thankful that Musk is not an US born citizen and cannot run for office. It's the only thing stopping him

indeed, gaming is becoming more of an "older" people hobby mostly because kids nowadays get bombarded with micro transactions and pay to win mechanics that don't really engage them as a target audience.

Once I attended a reto game convention and meet a kid who was like 14 or 15 who was really into retro games, mostly because those games didn't nag them with live services and bullshit as such. It really shifted my perspective about modern AAA gaming.

PS: by retro he meant the PS2 era

and to think there was plenty of no windows, no buy mentally when the Deck got announced. I cannot understand why would anyone go down the Windows route on a handheld, specially now that Linux has been so tried and tested

I turn off my phone whatever I attend a concert. I won't record a video I'll never watch anyway

I actively avoid Amazon, however there's a brand I really like that only sells through Amazon in my country, so I've used it a couple of times when I have no other choice.

I also have an audible account from before it was acquired by Amazon, idk if that counts, but I stopped paying for it over a decade ago

My mon got into a health and fitness phase thanks to Simmons who probably added years if not decades to her healthspan. Thanks to him I got to share more moments with my mom, and I'm sure I'm it the only one who indirectly benefited from his work.

Thanks Richard

One of my favourite stories is the accidental discovery of synthetic purple dye. IIRC there was a chemist researching something completely unrelated and when he disposed some assorted chemicals down a sink he noticed they turned purple.
