I like flatpak more than snap usually, for better performance, theme integration, hackability, and permission management. But recently I tried to install flatpak apps on an old HDD machine, and found out that the app startup time is so unbearably slow that I had to give up. Snap (contrary to what I heard) is just fine. Maybe because snap moves the mount time to boot time?

I use Linux (Kubuntu) on iMac 2012 and it works just well. Everything works perfectly and the graphics are even smoother than the stock macOS. GPU is too outdated for latest DXVK but older versions still work. HDD is slow but that is expected.

Checo really needs to get back in shape quickly if he wants to keep the seat next year. He had a good start this season, but being out of Q3 so many times due to human errors is a waste to that Red Bull rocket.
