We meet at the Olympia-Schwimmhalle Sauna - they feature a ice room, hourly sauna sessions and a nice inner recreation area with cold pools, etc.

For drinks, bring some cash - there is a small sauna bar where we can get a (non-)alc drink.

Sep 19 at 17:30 at Olympia-Schwimmhalle, Coubertinpl. 1, 80809 München, Germany

We meet at an exclusive spot close to the alps, south of Munich. Former location for the sauna masters, this place will provide for amazin sauna sessions. Be sure not to miss it!

Aug 10 (Saturday) at 14:00 at Kristall Therme trimini Kochel am See, Seeweg 2, 82431 Kochel am See, Germany

Join us for a relaxing evening of tech talk, sauna vibes, and refreshing lake swims at the Seebad Starnberg!

Date: July 18, 2024 Time: 17:30 Location: Seebad Starnberg, Starnberger See

Embrace the summer heat with fellow tech enthusiasts!

We're kicking off the evening with some casual networking and conversation. Enjoy the sauna, relax by the lake, and take a dip in the refreshing waters of Starnberger See. This is your chance to connect with other tech professionals, share ideas, and unwind in a beautiful setting.

Important Note: The Seebad Starnberg is operating with a summer tariff, so you can arrive early and enjoy the facilities all day. Only day tickets are available.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Alright fellow tech enthusiasts, mark your calendars for our next Munich Tech Sauna June meetup! We're venturing to the Monte Mare Schliersee Sauna, nestled close to the picturesque Schliersee, offering an exclusive sauna experience in a stunning setting.

We're straying a bit from Munich, but fear not, the journey to Schliersee and the Monte Mare Schliersee sauna remains conveniently reachable by train from Munich main station.

Join us on June 15 for a day of sauna bliss. Many of us will be starting our steamy sessions around 12:00 or possibly even earlier. If you're new to our community, give us a shout in the #meetups channel on Discord, and we'll make sure you're welcomed and guided by some friendly community members.

A heads-up: Monte Mare Schliersee sometimes requires a special reservation, so it's wise to double-check their website at https://www.monte-mare.de/schliersee/.

Prepare for sauna heaven! Monte Mare Schliersee boasts a variety of saunas and top-notch regular infusions. After indulging in the heat, cool off with a relaxing swim, lounge around, and perhaps enjoy a refreshing beer. It's shaping up to be the ultimate Munich Tech Sauna gathering!

For our May meetup, Munich Tech Sauna will meet at the world's largest sauna and SPA area: Therme Erding. As May 9 is a public holiday in Bavaria, we will meet already at 2PM at the entrance of the sauna area.

While this is an absolute highlight, it is quite essential to meet at the entrance or communicate BEFORE to arrange a meetup within the sauna area. With 26+ saunas it's easy to get lost or never find us at all :-)

Needless to say that Therme Erding will provide an amazing sauna experience with world class infusions, a bar in the pool for a fresh beer and many more great experiences.

Full address: May 9 at 14:00 at Therme Erding, Thermenallee 1-5, 85435 Erding, Germany - easy to reach by public transport via S2 and the stop Altenerding (not Erding!) and a 10 minute walk.

No worries, this is not a tv. It's a display but not a common tv...

Our April meetup takes us to the central Nordbad in Munich. It's an SWM run sauna, so don't expect too much when it comes to the sauna infusions, but they feature several sauna's and if we are lucky there will be infusions at 19.00 / 20.00 / 21.00 as well as a salt peeling in the steam bath at 19.30. It's definitely a central place and great to chat.

Full address Apr 18 at 17:30 at Nordbad, Schleißheimer Str. 142, 80797 München, Germany

Best reachable via Tram 12, 27, MetroBus 53, 59 (Nordbad and Hohenzollernplatz) StadtBus 154 (Nordbad) U2 (Hohenzollernplatz)

please note It's recommended to get a reservation for this special event... it guarantees entrance to the sauna. https://shop.kristall-trimini.de/category/21 Choose March 7 which is the day we visit from about 12/1300 - we will meet inside, so make sure you connected to not sauna alone!

Visit the Sauna Masters / Sauna competition at the Kristall Therme Trimini Kochel am See - many will likely join, some by car, some by train (and a nice walk) or by bicycle... So let us know in #meetups if you plan to come and then let's share travel plans. This sauna event will be quite special, expect the best of the best battling for the best Saunameister.

If you want, you can join our group bike ride in the morning from Puchheim-Bahnhof (S) to Ammersee (stop at Alte Villa) down to Kochel am See. This will be a tempo ride, good fitness required - 91 km over 4h roughly. Details here https://www.strava.com/clubs/techsauna

In any case, it's really recommended you join our Discord for the #meetups channel and realtime info on the day of this event.

For our official March meetup, we will meet at the Munich-local and well accessible Cosima Wellenbad. This place features a fresh and modern sauna area and some of our community will remember the great meetup we had there last year - we pretty much filled up the "Bio-Sauna" for great chats and the sauna infusions we experienced there were also quite good (for SWM).

According to their website, there will be two infusions at 20:00 and 21:00 - before we can try out the Bio-Sauna, steam bath or the 'Stollensauna' in the outside area... as well as have chats or visit the pool!

We can exit the sauna area and get a drink/food at the restaurant, accessible from the swimming pool area.

Our second meetup of the year will take us to the well known and Munich-local Michaelibad. We've been there before and enjoyed the chatty context - hope to cu soon!

Feb 15 | 1730 sharp at entrance area or later inside | Michaelibad

What's special? The spacious sauna on two floors is a visual delight – bathed in light and kept in warm pastel tones. On the ground floor, you can cool down in the large cold pool and a small outdoor garden between sauna sessions. Upstairs, two relaxation rooms and the outdoor terrace await you.

Saunas:

  • Finnish Sauna
  • Sanarium
  • Steam Bath (with some luck with salt/sugar application)
  • Erd-Loft-Sauna - the highlight of Michaelibad, a large, wooden sauna great for having a chat or just sweating quietly (we will see)

Munich Tech Sauna January Meetup (self.munichtechsauna)
submitted 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) by hansamann to c/munichtechsauna

We're kicking off the new year with an easy to reach Munich-local sauna: the Westbad. The sauna now features a larger sauna area with several steam rooms, saunas , cold basins and more. We can step out into the swimming pool area for grabbing a drink, too!

Jan 18 2024 - 1730 at the entrance or cu inside. Say hi and get in touch if you are joining the first time - might be hard to find us. Although we will most likely try to make all the hourly sauna infusions and talk loud about custom keyboards...

Dear Munich Tech Sauna Family,

Reflecting on 2023, our journey has been extraordinary – a year of saunas, connections, and unforgettable experiences! From the inaugural meetup at Seebad Starnberg to deep discussions and the world of custom ergo keyboards, our community thrived. Unique POAPs/NFTs symbolize each meetup, capturing our shared history on the blockchain.

Our diverse conversations expanded beyond sauna walls to Discord, Mastodon, Lemmy, and Matrix, showcasing our tech-savvy and nerdy spirit. While embracing diversity, we acknowledge room for improvement, aspiring to a more inclusive community.

Let's share our favorite sauna experience of 2023. For me, it was a day at Monte Mare Seesauna in Tegernsee – a summer meetup filled with great chats, refreshing beers, invigorating infusions, and the satisfaction of timely arrival after a day of cycling.

As the year ends, my holiday wish is to spread the word about Munich Tech Sauna. In a world craving genuine connections, let's expand our community. Choose channels that resonate and bring kindred spirits into our community.

Don't forget the ongoing end-of-year raffle. If you own the Dantebad collectible, you could win a special present. Excited to distribute them at our final meetup on December 21 17:30 at PhoenixBad.

Gratitude to each of you, the heartbeat of Munich Tech Sauna. Your enthusiasm, diversity, and warmth make our community exceptional. Here's to more saunas, connections, and unforgettable experiences in 2024.

Wishing you a cozy holiday season and a steamy start to 2024!

Warm regards, Sven | @[email protected]

Cold enough? Join us for gadget-free tech talk at the Monte Mare Tegernsee on Dec 7. We meet 1730 at the entrance. Train from Donnersberger Brücke runs 1608 to final Stop Tegernsee. From there it's a short walk.

Check techsauna.dev for details and say hi on Discord. For this meetup it's advised to get an online reservation - check the Monte Mare Tegernsee Website.

The revxlp is using a shift register - that's the trick

[–] hansamann 2 points 1 year ago

Done. Love it. thx @[email protected] and @[email protected] for your help - and thx goes to frobiac from Munich for jumping on a mental health call and debugging the issues. it works so well now. my fav keyboard!

SOLVED

all solved... I had 2 dead pins due not really following the tape socket explanation in the readme. and when I pulled out the xiao, the socket came half way out. I now did solder a new xiao and checked all pins, now all good... phew! thx again! it chose the 12u miryoku firmware and it works

Just adding the back of the PCB - you can see some missing diodes there. For now I am pretty sure that is OK, as it's what JLCPCB has assembled as in the BOM/Place file.

@[email protected]

I checked connections from XIAO to the board and also took off the bottom plate, alu, just to be sure there is no shortcut. When plugging into usb-c and turning on, the green led charge indicator is on, seems to charge. I was previously able to connect via ble, too.

All right, here is my build run, it is a success and should build a basic miryoku for revxlp - details here https://github.com/hansamann/miryoku_zmk/actions/runs/6761313214

When I double press reset to have the USB storage of the XIAO appear, it will bring up an error "can't complete operation because some data in ...uf2 can't be read or written. But I think it copies the 359KB of uf2 over correctly. Then Finder of course shows an error as the device resets into the keyboard mode... all expected, right?

Unfortunately it still behaves weirdly. The outer three columns don't do anything. the 4th column top is a 'w' then below r and then x... leaves me clueless. I used JLCPCB with the assembly service. On the back of the pcba, I can see some D's are not places, for example DU D_U2 / D_U4 / D_U3 / D_U9 / D_U8 - but I assume that is all OK. I added the not swap sockets ONLY on the back as the assembly should do the rest on that side of the PCB.

If you could point me to a ready made build for the XIAO-nRF52840 with a default keymap I am happy to try that out.

[–] hansamann 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

will try building with defaults... which I pretty much did to be honest. just mac style copy/paste is special. I will take off the alu back and chec the xiao ble connections. thx

[–] hansamann 1 points 1 year ago

Would you mind making it 36 keys, 3 Thumb keys? Then I am in to try it out... Looks like a great board.

[–] hansamann 1 points 1 year ago

Too bad :-) it was a gif but I think Lemmy converted it automatically...
