It's funny because, as I am sure many of you also have, I have been called a bot at work all the time for the things I come up with and how much work I can get done in such little time.

Thank you for great information! Yeah I let spark sucker me into their nice apps when I was using Gmail. I’ve since “degoogled” myself as well as removed my reliance on majority iCloud services with my own cloud services. So abandoning spark and changing my info should suffice. So yeah I am ditching them asap.

I wasn’t sure if there was a client like roundcube which I’m looking into now, that works and looks good both on desktop and mobile. I do understand now that might not be a 1 app solution. Roundcube could be a good webmail for desktop and mobile but I’d likely want an official desktop and mobile app that isn’t spark and doesn’t store my info. I’ll take a look at the other 2 you mentioned in your other comment.

Thanks! That does look like what I’m after.

Huh… now I can’t remember why I bought an annual license if I didn’t need it.

Not looking for a server as I use fastmail currently but a client would be nice. I am currently using spark on iOS and Mac OS and just fastmail website on my Linux desktop. I’m realizing spark is nothing special and would rather not renew my subscription.

Never seen this one. Looks nice !

Not that I have or want a Tesla but this is pretty cool.

Right. As I started building out my fossdom on my domain and using cloudflared tunnels. I thought if anything happened with cloudflare that I’d be completely out. So now they only manage my dns and I use caddy instead. Don’t agree with monopolies.

I actually don't know lol. I saw him mention a google sheet with a bunch of recommended SSDs and googled it and found that.

A lot of people still have a few that we converted to bluetooth so this is great news!

Can be anything, iOS shortcuts, Tasker, bash scripting, home assistant/homebridge, etc.

My old house I had a pretty nice Home Assistant setup, I still need to move everything over to my new house and set it up. Things like automating lights, laundry machine speaker and phone notifications, TV notifications and reminders, dehumidifier triggering, climate control.

I also have some simple automations going on my linux server for maintenance and backups. I run Plex_Debrid on my server and sometimes the Real Debrid docker volume goes out. So I have script running every few hours to run a docker exec command to see if any files are showing in the realdebrid directory and if not, take down the plex and plex_Debrid docker container and re-map the volume and boot back up.

iOS shortcuts is pretty handy, for some reason the light/dark mode transition on my iPhone doesn't work great so I made a shortcut automation and it works much better. I setup a pretty cool NFC Medicine Taking system as I have to taken a few different meds every day and at different times. I can just tap my phone on my medicine and it will tell me if i have taken it yet or if its time to take it. Very helpful with my ADHD causing me to forget to take them all the time.

I know I have more I am not mentioning now, plus a whole assortment of different automations to automate my job.

Is it any good? Anyone have a chance to play with it much? AI gimmick is blowing up and so many unnecessary applications. This one could be cool if it actually works well. The one time I had it modify a flow it just deleted it lol

I’m just a guy who loves automating things. Both at work and as a hobby. Using things like power automate and programming languages like python. Hope to share any relevant automation news and items here. Feel free to join if you too have a passion for automation.
