China isn't socialist by any academic definition.

Because if you make a country rich enough they will decline naturally.

Why are you defining socialism only as full Marxism?

Again Sherlock, nobody is talking about the frame of view of random animals that may or may not be fine. We are only talking about our frame of reference.

If you actually considered the semantics of "technically some people will still be alive but living in a mad max like apocalypse or jellyfish will be fine" means that our biosphere hasn't been destroyed for humans you are being ridiculously pedantic.

Solar wind thermal energy works almost everywhere that humans thrive and it's cheap

Only an idiot thinks that when we say *we are destroying the planet " they literally means the planet will explode or something. It's clear that we mean the only part of the planet that is meaningful for us, the biosphere.

Sure but it's the first time I've ever seen the site. I'm not sure I want to give them more of my data

I was a mod for a community of over 100k. Being a mod sucked. It was dealing with entitled users who wanted you to run the sub to their liking, nuking spammers and trolls, and basically caring for it like it was a digital baby.

I did most of my moderation in RIF.

I nuked my account and deleted it when the other moderators voted to reopen the sub. Lemmy life for me now.

Corporatism, at least in this current style is more than capitalism. In capitalism we let failed companies fail, in corporatism they are too big to fail so their failure is socialized and they are encouraged to suckle at the teat if the public purse.

Governments could take back control but they are run by weak people who are easily bought for pennies.

Corporatism is basically the same thing except we let private organisations who's only interest in profit be "daddy"

It's not logic, it's that what it means. 2*4 literally means 2+2+2+2. Just like 8/2 means how many times you can add 2 to itself until you get 8.

That's what it means.

So why use braces? Because in more advanced maths you have more complex expressions that can't be express in just multiplication which often occur in algebra or beyond.

For example what does 2 * ( a + 3) actually mean? Like why do we need to do the addition first. Its because we don't know how many times we need to repeat the addition until we know what a means.

Let's say a are points on an axis, and at some point it is worth three the. At that moment that expression is 2 * (3 +3) = 2 * 6 which is equal to 2+2+2+2+2

But in the next moment a might be 1

Right?

What's arbitrary are the labels on the rules. The rules themselves aren't arbitrary.
