I'm not sure that's an entirely accurate equivalence as most attack vectors for a person's normal personal life is via the internet, whether phishing or just straight hacking.

In a business setting, social engineering and other physical pen threats are real then it's a good analogy. But at home, not so much. If someone you don't want in your house has found your passwords hidden under your keyboard then you've probably got more to worry about.

What are instances and federations?

I just thought that it was Reddit, but with a different backend. But people are talking like there's more to it than that...

I had to verify with email to sign up for this?

Actually tbh I'm not even sure what anyone here is even talking about...federations and instances? I thought this was just a new Reddit but with a different back end.

You can literally buy an inkjet for £30, use it once with the dribble of ink that it comes with, never need to print anything again for 5 years and buy another £30 Inkjet to do it.

It's cheaper and less bothersome than any other options for those that next to never need to print.

Epson are the name in the game for high quality sample printing. To the point where many people literally call printed samples 'Epsons'.

A printed sample being a one off print of something that will be industrially printed at scale on a larger printing press. It is used to have a 'colour master' to check the print run to, so you can identify colour shifts that can happen over the course of thousands to hundreds of thousands to even millions of sheets.

How often does the average person really need that, though?

Theres always 'but sometimes' arguments to everything, but the advice was general.

I just couldn't click with Hearthstone. Wanted a time killer that I could jump into for a quick game or two and just couldn't figure out what was going on really.

Even at my lowly beginner level it seemed that everyone else knew what was going on and would ace me. And I was just left dumbfounded. Couldn't figure out if it was just me not getting the game or a load of smurfs.

Also doesn't help that there's years and years of content to catch up on and anyone new is just in an ocean of it.

Where did the current part that is too big come from? Was it already on/with the car when you got it?

I'd honestly just punch the model and year into Google and pick the one that comes up. Speedo cables aren't expensive and given that it's probably a common parts bin part for GM they won't be had to get.

Honestly nothing more than any other car of its age and heritage.

When we got it, it was a runner. But it was rough. The obligatory oil leaks from knackered gaskets, carbs needing cleaned and rebalancing, brakes sticking and undoing the years of the most egregious naff bodges (mainly around the dashboard).

Basically mostly stuff resulting from it being sat for a bit too long.

It was about 2000£ worth of work off the top of my head.

Honestly the biggest thing to worry about with them (or any old British car) is rot. Mechanically and electrically they're really simple.

Things that are still 'wrong' with it? Hard top is held on by what I can tell is 2 of the 6 bolts that should be there. The gear box is on its way out. 1st synchro is a bit iffy and it likes to be caressed into 3rd.

But nothing that you wouldn't expect from any car of its type for its age.

In regards to a choice between the 124 or Spitty? It really depends on what you want. The 124 is a modern machine with its comforts and performance. The Spitty won't pull the skin off a rice pudding. It's depends on if you want a car that won't let you down, start on the button every time and require very little fettling, or a 50 year old British sports car!

Maybe not the correct 'legal' term. But it's splitting hairs really.

He wants rid of his serious burden. And imagine he thinks that he can do that if he kills the platform. Instead of being on the hook for 44billion with the repayments and interest attributed to that every month, he can cut that down to a fraction.

I'm not saying I have any idea how it works, or even if it's possible. Mainly that I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Wait until you see the PepsiCo snacks price/size adjustments.

Don't ask me how I know. I don't work in the industry. Nope.
