Foam, or a heat conductive pad?

That external hard drive had a whopping 20 megabytes of storage. I can still remember the sound or it spinning up..

Well, when you build your house using mahogany, at least you're probably not too worried about reconstruction costs. /s

That really is gorgeous. Exquisite detail.

Going through US immigration is a somewhat strange experience, to me. They act as though you're trying to get through the pearly gates and you really have to prove your worth, while going into e.g. Canada it is, in my experience, more of a "oh hi there mate, welcome, good to see ya!".

I seem to remember such a scene, too, and now we know where the inspiration came from.

That's the equivalent of a very softly sprung mattress, I reckon.

Hahaha, that's the best thing I've seen today. Thanks for that.

I like the eyes on top of the tail. I remember reading the A380 has a camera or two up there, so it all makes sense.

I'm surprised it was still judged to have "agreeable taste". I suppose the bar was significantly lower, back when.

A walk in the forest, Eidsvoll, Norway, this July. The dogs are flat coated retrievers and absolutely adorable.

I have all of December off from work, where should I go?

I've not yet done any research whatsoever on this, and figured it would be fun to start off by asking you lot.

Is December even a good time to visit this part of the world, weatherwise?

I'll be traveling alone and I'm not looking for an action packed vacation. Beautiful scenery, tasty drinks and good food will do the trick. Beach vacations aren't normally my thing, but I think that's just what I'm in need of now.

Preferably somewhere I'm not in danger of getting robbed and stabbed every waking minute, too. That would be nice.

I'll be traveling from Norway, btw.

Craig scarborough has some interesting thoughts on why Mercedes' "zeropod car" struggled so much.

Given how the headline ends with a question mark, the answer is no. But it might be a significant part of the package.
